Summary: Metastasis is a major cause of mortality in breast cancer patients, and the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is closely related to cancer metastasis. In this study, a multifunctional nanocomplex co-loaded with paclitaxel (PTX) and STAT3 siRNA was developed, showing superior efficacy in inhibiting tumor growth and suppressing metastasis by silencing STAT3 expression. The nanocomplex provides a promising platform for targeted treatment of metastatic cancer through chemo-gene combined therapy.

Summary: In this study, the similarity and difference between Camellia nitidissima Chi (CC), C. euphlebia Merr. ex Sealy (CE), and C. insularis (CI) were comprehensively compared in terms of chemistry and pharmacology. A statistical model combining untargeted metabolomics and fingerprint analyses was developed for chemical pattern recognition and discrimination of the three yellow camellias species. The results showed that CC, CE, and CI could be distinguished based on specific chemical combinations and that they exhibited differences in anti-inflammation/anti-oxidation activities.
