Summary: A fast and selective method using chiral supercritical fluid chromatography-mass spectrometry (SFC-MS) was developed to study lipase selectivity in the hydrolysis of triacylglycerols (TGs). The method involved the synthesis of enantiomerically pure monoacylglycerol (MG) and diacylglycerol (DG) isomers and their separation using a chiral column and neat methanol as a mobile phase modifier. The results revealed different stereoselectivities for substrates in the lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis.

Summary: Four difenoconazole stereoisomers were separated and their configurations confirmed in a study. A trace detection method for residue determination in plant samples was developed using HPLC-MS/MS, showing high accuracy and recovery rates. The degradation of the four stereoisomers showed no obvious enantioselectivity, with one particular stereoisomer degrading the slowest in one region.

Summary: The study developed a novel strategy for untargeted chiral metabolomics of hydroxy/amine groups by chiral derivatization coupled with liquid chromatography-high resolution tandem mass spectrometry (LC-HR-MS/MS). This method successfully enabled the simultaneous measurement of different classes of enantiomeric metabolites in a single analytical run, providing new insights in the detection of disease biomarkers.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution, and residue depletion of praziquantel in swine. The findings have important implications for rational dosing strategies, reducing drug usage and side effects, accurately assessing the risks associated with praziquantel administration, and future use of the active enantiomer R-PZQ.

Summary: By exploring the cyclic three-level systems coupled with three electromagnetic fields, we demonstrate the spatial enantioseparation of gaseous chiral molecules, which is achieved through the space-dependent part of the overall phase of the coupling strengths caused by specific polarization directions of the electromagnetic fields.

Summary: A simple, fast, and sensitive analytical enantioselective technology was developed to investigate the chiral pharmacokinetics of ibuprofen enantiomers in Chinese premature infants with PDA. The results showed a high chiral inversion ratio of (R)-to (S)-ibuprofen in Chinese preterm neonates. Further studies should be conducted to monitor drug concentration and consider the effect of individual variations and ethnic differences in metabolizing enantiomers of ibuprofen in premature neonates with PDA.

Summary: This study investigated the dissipation kinetics of tebuconazole enantiomers in different apple fruit varieties. The results showed that (-)-R-tebuconazole degraded faster and had higher fungicidal activity than (+)-S-tebuconazole. Therefore, the development of a pure (-)-R-tebuconazole stereoisomer appears to be promising in apple disease control.

Summary: This study focuses on the theoretical exploration of quantum coherent control of enantio-selective state transfer (ESST) of chiral molecules. A pulse-area theorem based on a closed-loop three-level system is derived and used to design three linearly polarized microwave pulses. By optimizing the delay time of the microwave pulses, discrimination of enantiomers for chiral molecules can be achieved.

Summary: A new strategy was developed to improve the enantioseparation performance of DOPA through the use of functionalized Double-walled Carbon Nanotube (DWCNT) membranes. By incorporating chiral selectors into the DWCNT solution phase and assembling them into nanocomposite membranes, high enantiomeric excess values were achieved, demonstrating efficient enantioselectivity. This method showed a tradeoff in permeation results, with a high flux value for D-isomer and a lower flux value for L-isomer, suggesting successful enantioseparation capabilities.

Summary: A gamma-Cyclodextrin based metal-organic framework with D-Histidine as a chiral ligand was synthesized for the selective enrichment of S-Naproxen enantiomer. Computer simulations predicted intermolecular binding patterns and the difference in affinity due to the differentiation in pi-lone pair miscellaneous and hydrogen bonding force capacities. This chiral adsorption material shows great potential as a chiral resolution agent.
