Summary: This paper discusses the Lee distance of negacyclic codes and constacyclic codes over finite fields and chain rings, especially by generalizing to obtain the Lee distance of a more general class of constacyclic codes, and calculates all maximum distance separable (MDS) codes with respect to the Lee distance.

Summary: Aggregation theory formalizes the process of combining multiple inputs into a single output mathematically, with both the inputs and output usually being elements of a poset. While historically focusing on real numbers, there is increasing interest in aggregating different types of data. Prominent examples include string aggregation, popular among computer scientists and bioinformaticians, and ranking aggregation, studied in social choice theory since the 18th century. The article proposes a new geometrically oriented understanding to develop a new theory of aggregation, moving away from the current order-based approach.

Summary: In this paper, we propose a generic transformation to address the issue of converting binary MDS array codes. The transformation allows chosen nodes to have optimal repair bandwidth and rebuilding access properties, while preserving the properties of the remaining nodes under certain conditions.

Summary: The study of the Lee weight of quaternary codes plays a crucial role in coding theory. This paper aims to establish the Lee weight distribution of Ck(1), k(2)(d) for each d. Additionally, the linearity and optimality of the Gray image of Ck(1), k(2)(d) are characterized, leading to a family of optimal binary codes. This result generalizes the work of Shi and Wang in 2014.

Summary: The paper studies perfect permutation codes in S-n under the Kendall tau-metric, answering an open problem and presenting some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of perfect permutation codes. Further, it proves that there does not exist a perfect t-error-correcting code in S-n for certain values of n and t.

Summary: This paper investigates MDS codes and weighted graph-based coded caching in fog radio access networks (F-RANs). The redundant MDS-based coded placement scheme provides redundant coded packets and homogeneous cached contents, which can construct multicast opportunities. The weighted graph-based coded delivery scheme, based on homogeneous cached contents, induces considerable multicast opportunities. By integrating both schemes, a joint MDS codes and weighted graph-based coded caching policy is proposed to minimize the fronthaul load. Theoretical analysis of the policy's performance is conducted by deriving the lower and upper bounds of the fronthaul load. Simulation results show a 44% savings in fronthaul load compared to MDS-based uncoded delivery policy.

Summary: This paper studies the capacity of QPIR from MDS-coded and colluding servers for the first time. Two general classes of QPIR, stabilizer QPIR and dimension-squared QPIR, are defined and their capacities are derived. The general QPIR capacity is derived for the non-colluding case. The proposed capacity-achieving scheme combines different schemes from previous research.

Summary: This paper aims to derive an upper bound for the maximal length of MDS elliptic codes over F-q with dimension 3 <= k <= q+1-2 root q / 10. The result improves an earlier bound and confirms a conjecture. Notably, the proposed upper bound is tight for odd dimensions and can be achieved by well-designed MDS elliptic codes.

Summary: MDS self-dual codes have nice algebraic structures and are uniquely determined by lengths. Recently, the construction of MDS self-dual codes of new lengths has become an important and hot issue in coding theory. In this paper, six new classes of MDS self-dual codes are constructed using generalized Reed-Solomon codes and extended GRS codes. These constructions significantly increase the proportion of known MDS self-dual codes relative to possible ones.

Summary: By utilizing a triple of simplicial complexes, trace codes over a cubic ring extension of the binary field are constructed. A linear Gray map produces multiple infinite families of binary few-weight codes with up to 9 weights, and equating two complexes in the triple leads to minimal and distance optimal binary three-weight codes.

Summary: This paper proposes two novel modulation concepts based on a simple MDS code, which achieve better error performance than IM and related schemes. The first concept uses amplitude and phase levels, while the second one uses in-phase and quadrature components to construct the MDS code. Practical schemes for using the proposed concepts with OFDM are depicted. Performance analysis in terms of minimum Euclidean distance and bit error rate is presented. The proposed techniques exhibit desirable properties such as low-complexity detection, simple bits-to-symbols and symbols-to-bits mappings, and better error performance compared to OFDM-IM and related schemes.

Summary: PWSNAS is a general and effective framework for neural architecture search, which improves the accuracy of performance estimation by automatically shrinking the search space and introducing a new metric. Experimental results on the NASBench-201 dataset verify the superiority of this framework over state-of-the-art NAS methods such as SPOS, FairNAS, and ProxylessNAS.

Summary: The catalytic pyrolysis of various types of polyolefin and multilayer plastic waste using commercial zeolite catalyst in a batch pilot scale reactor was studied. It was found that BOPP based plastic waste exhibited higher oil yield and calorific value, and by modifying the feed composition, the physicochemical characterization of the resulting pyrolysis oil could be significantly altered.
