Summary: The international pesticide trade network is crucial for global food production and security. This study proposes a novel method for computing network link centrality and verifies its effectiveness using a dual graph. The results indicate that trade relationships with higher centrality indicators based on the dual graph have a greater impact on network efficiency.

Summary: This paper provides new insights into the current status and trends of U.S. organic imports and exports, as well as the impact of organic equivalency agreements (OEAs) on trade. The findings show that fresh agricultural products dominate both U.S. exports and imports, with Canada and Mexico being the primary trading partners. The analysis also suggests that OEAs can be effective trade policy instruments, particularly the agreements with Canada and Switzerland.

Summary: Using the SNA method, this study investigates the impact of agricultural export market diversification on export volatility from a supply network perspective. The results suggest that agricultural export market diversification significantly reduces export volatility. The stabilizing effect is stronger for processed agricultural products compared to primary agricultural products. Additionally, emerging markets and developing countries or regions show a more evident stabilizing effect than developed countries or regions. This study also identifies two mechanisms through which export market diversification stabilizes agricultural exports: increasing international market share and extending export duration.

Summary: Understanding the role of trade agreements in facilitating access to global food trade and their impact on the environment is crucial. Activation of trade agreements significantly increases the probability of establishing new trade links, while the presence of these agreements over time leads to a more stable market with reduced possibility of link deactivation. Trade links covered by agreements show larger and smoother flows, and also encourage the exchange of crops with higher water productivity values, promoting more water-efficient trade.

Summary: The Pacific's small island developing states (SIDS) heavily rely on imported, nutritionally deficient, and high-salt, fat, and sugar foods. Nutrition policies are needed to promote healthy diets, but international trade and investment agreements (TIAs) may interfere with SIDS' ability to regulate their food environments in line with their nutrition policy goals.

Summary: Since 1995, the number of Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs) has significantly increased, reaching over 350 in 2022. The overlapping of RTAs can lead to higher trade costs, but it can also promote trade integration and reduce costs among connected countries. This study examines the relationship between RTAs and agricultural trade, finding a positive association and suggesting stronger integration among countries with multiple RTAs.

Summary: The study found that the trade-promoting role of financial intermediation in the exporting country is mitigated by low exporting costs and financial constraints in certain sectors. Furthermore, the same trade-boosting effect and interaction with regional trade agreements (RTAs) were observed for financial intermediation in the importing country.

Summary: We propose a new methodological approach to estimate the relocation of environmental impacts resulting from trade liberalisation. Our empirical application focuses on the impact of 25 preferential trade agreements (PTAs) on greenhouse gas emissions embodied in Swiss imports from 2000 to 2018. We find that the effects of these PTAs, in terms of relocation of emissions, are relatively small compared to the overall increase in imported emissions during the period.

Summary: The article discusses the implementation of a mathematical experiment to determine the optimal parameters for calibrating various fruit seeds. The experiment involves separating the seeds into homogeneous fractions based on size to highlight the best-quality middle fraction for sowing. The calibration was done using width as the determining factor and a specialized device was developed for the experiment. The study also explored the relationship between various factors, such as frequency and amplitude of vibration, and the quality of bone division. Regression models were derived for each fruit type, and the adequacy of the models was assessed. The results determined the optimal operating parameters for the installation, ensuring high-quality separation of fruit bones with minimal mass deviation.

Summary: The aim of this article is to propose recommendations for ensuring the supply meets the demand in the seed and planting material market in Ukraine. Statistical and comparative analysis is used to examine the patterns of foreign trade in seeds and planting material to and from Ukraine. The high import dependence of Ukraine exposes it to instability in the global seed market. The article discusses the development of seed production in Ukraine and suggests ways to improve the commercial circulation of seeds and planting materials. Prospective methods to accelerate the development of the Ukrainian seed and planting material market are outlined.

Summary: The author examines the ontological dichotomy in Plato's Timaeus and seeks to reconcile it with the Big Bang Theory and the expansion of the Universe argumentation. By utilizing Plato's Vocabulary, the author attempts to integrate contemporary understanding of fundamental physical phenomena with Platonic philosophy. Furthermore, the author regards Platonic philosophy as an authoritative starting point and the methodos of Platone philosophandi ratio triplex as a means to exhibit a new quality of the Big Bang theory. By considering key questions related to aletheia, phasis, and dianoia, the author explores the concept of meaningful phasis. This inquiry ensures humanity's fundamental competitive advantage in the expanding cosmos and its relationship with forms that come to be and always exist.

Summary: Surface mining of mineral deposits leads to the inappropriate use of agricultural land resources, but the establishment of internal dumps can reduce the disturbed land area. Numerical modeling using Slide 5.0 software was used to assess the stability parameters and safe distance for placing mining equipment in the internal dump. The study found that the safety factor decreased by 22% when the dump slope bordered on sedimentations with a strength of 2-3 on the Mohs scale. The results provide useful information for the reclamation of depleted open pits.
