Summary: This research aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of circ_0011946 in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells. Findings showed that circ_0011946 silence inhibited OSCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, while promoting apoptosis through the regulation of the miR-216a-5p/BCL2L2 axis. The study suggests that circ_0011946 may serve as a potential therapeutic target for OSCC.

Summary: SMARCA4 is highly upregulated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues, promoting cell invasion and tumor growth. Mechanistic studies reveal that miR-199a-5p-regulated SMARCA4 promotes tumor cell invasion and metastasis through epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). These findings provide insights into the role of SMARCA4 in OSCC and have important implications for therapy.

Summary: This study analyzed the expression of E2F2 gene and protein, as well as the miRNAs candidate targets (miR-125b-5p, miR-155-3p, and miR-214-5p) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tumor and margin samples. The results showed that E2F2 gene is not the target for analyzed miRNAs in OSCC, while miR-155-3p and miR-125b-5p may play roles in the pathogenesis of OSCC. Additionally, miRNAs expression in response to tobacco smoke and HPV status showed differences.

Summary: In this study, the expression, biological roles, and potential mechanisms of lncRNA HOXD cluster antisense RNA 1 (HOXD-AS1) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) were investigated. It was found that HOXD-AS1 may upregulate Annexin A4 by sponging miR-203a-5p in OSCC, promoting cancer cell invasion and migration.

Summary: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), the sixth most common cancer worldwide, is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, leading to high mortality rates. In this study, we examined the expression levels of miR-21-5p, miR-93-5p, miR-200c-3p, miR-205-5p, H19, MALAT1, and BCL2 in OSCC tissues and normal adjacent tissues. Our results showed dysregulated expression of these transcripts, suggesting their potential as diagnostic markers for OSCC.

Summary: This study found that circ-CLK1 is significantly upregulated in oral squamous cell carcinoma and inhibiting circ-CLK1 can reduce cell viability and proliferation while promoting apoptosis. Furthermore, circ-CLK1 inhibits apoptosis through the miR-18b-5p/YBX2 axis.

Summary: The study identified a unique circRNA, circIGHG, which is significantly upregulated in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and associated with poor prognosis. It promotes OSCC invasion and metastasis by interacting with miR-142-5p and IGF2BP3, with epithelial-mesenchymal transition being the main mechanism. These findings suggest that circIGHG could serve as a biomarker and therapeutic target for early diagnosis and treatment of OSCC.

Summary: This study evaluated the expression of miR-486-3p, miR-561-5p, miR-548-3p, and miR-509-5p in tissue biopsy samples with and without OSCC. The results showed that the expression of miR-486-3p and miR-561-5p was significantly lower in cancer samples compared to normal tissue samples, while miR-548-3p expression increased in the OSCC group compared to the control group. There was no significant difference in miR-509-5p expression between OSCC and control groups.

Summary: This study revealed the oncogenic role of LINC00664 in the progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) through the KLF9/LINC00664/miR-411-5p/KLF9 feedback loop. LINC00664 was found to promote cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in OSCC. This provides new perspectives for potential therapeutic targets in OSCC.

Summary: This study aimed to clarify the possible mechanisms of goat intramuscular preadipocyte differentiation regulated by miR-214-5p through various biological methods. The results indicated that miR-214-5p and its target gene KLF12 were negative regulators in the progression of goat preadipocyte differentiation. The research provided an experimental basis for understanding the role of miR-214-5p in adipocyte regulation.

Summary: In this study, it was found that exosomes derived from cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) contained more miR-146b-5p compared to exosomes derived from normal fibroblasts (NFs). miR-146b-5p promoted the malignant phenotype of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) by targeting HIPK3. Therefore, inhibiting exosomal miR-146b-5p secretion may be a promising therapeutic approach for OSCC.

Summary: Early detection of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is crucial for prognosis. Saliva, as a comprehensive sample, shows promising potential for OSCC detection. The study identified miR-345 and miR-31-5p as consistently upregulated salivary biomarkers for OSCC and a three-miRNA panel showed high sensitivity in distinguishing cancer and control patients.
