This review highlights and summarizes various optically active BODIPY molecules and describes the analysis of their circular dichroism (CD) and circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) spectroscopy, to provide a platform for the rational design of novel optically active BODIPY structures and the development of new chiroptical applications.
