Electrochemical techniques, including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), are among the most common techniques used for the evaluation and study of corrosion in reinforced concrete. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a powerful technique for characterizing a wide variety of electrochemical systems and for determining the contribution of electrode or electrolytic processes in these systems. The analysis of EIS results from samples of concrete is highly complex due to overlapping arcs from simultaneous phenomena and noise associated with the heterogeneity of the samples. Thus, this paper proposes a new method of analysis based on the characteristic relaxation angular frequency, w, of each phenomenon and the association of typical capacitances and frequencies.
