Summary: This paper investigates the interaction between silver ion and helicenes, specifically focusing on hexahelicene and heptahelicene. Experimental results suggest that heptahelicene is recommended for silver complexation due to its high adsorption energies and involvement of chemical bonds during the process. Theoretical models SMPG and SMRG were used to analyze the experimental adsorption isotherms, revealing that the adsorption of helicenes is an endothermic phenomenon and lateral interactions between adsorbates play a role in adsorbed quantity decrease at saturation.

Summary: This study investigated the biosorption of copper ions by green synthesized silver nanoparticles and activated carbon, and modeled the process using artificial neural network and statistical physics formalism. The results showed that the ANN model was helpful in predicting biosorption parameters, and the SPF model explained the layers, adsorbed species, and energy levels involved in the sorption process.

Summary: A general problem in studying supercooled liquids and glasses is the long relaxation times that make it difficult to determine dynamic characteristics explicitly. To solve this issue, one approach is to extrapolate values of a dynamical property, such as viscosity, from a temperature range where it can be directly measured or simulated to the low-temperature region. However, such extrapolations often lead to contradictory results due to different fitting functions. This paper proposes a model-free statistical algorithm for low-temperature extrapolation of liquid viscosity and diffusion coefficient, utilizing numerical analytical continuation and error correction procedures. The method has been tested on various glass-forming systems and showed good stability and predictability.

Summary: This paper utilizes a statistical physics theory to analyze the adsorption isotherms of three D-A dyes bearing pyridyl group on TiO2 for dye sensitized solar cells. The results indicate a chemisorption process occurred, and DFT was used to determine the adsorbed modes and electronic structures of the dyes, revealing the system with the highest dye regeneration efficiency.

Summary: Using quartz crystal coated with porphyrins H2TTP and H2TPP, the adsorption mechanisms of manganese chloride and manganese nitrate were studied. Experimental results showed that H2TTP is suitable for ionophore fabrication. The single-layer model successfully analyzed the adsorption mechanism of MnCl2 on H2TTP at an ionic scale.

Summary: A quartz crystal adsorbent functionalized with two promising porphyrins was used to study the adsorption phenomenon of aluminum, iron, and indium chlorides. The adsorption of aluminum and iron chlorides was found to proceed via a monolayer process, while the adsorption of indium chloride occurred through a layer-by-layer process. The complexation mechanism of the tested porphyrins was determined to be an endothermic process.
