Summary: The study demonstrated that TCF7L2 is significantly overexpressed in glioblastoma and associated with long-term prognosis of the tumor. Overexpression of TCF7L2 is linked to poor overall survival and serves as an independent prognostic factor for glioma patients.

Summary: In this study, m5C-related lncRNAs were identified and an eight-lncRNA signature was established for lower grade glioma patient prognosis. The performance of the signature was validated and it was found to be related to glioma microenvironment, immune response, EMT, cell cycle, and hypoxia.

Summary: In this study, an ensemble learning approach was proposed to predict the post-operative overall survival (OS) of glioma patients using pre-operative MRIs. The approach utilized a Siamese network and a K-NN classifier to classify glioma patients into three OS classes, achieving high accuracy and AUC.

Summary: Tumor response and tumor burden have a significant impact on overall survival (OS) in patients with RAI-R DTC treated with lenvatinib. Lenvatinib responders have longer OS compared to nonresponders, and patients with lower tumor burden receiving lenvatinib have longer OS compared to those with higher tumor burden. Therefore, baseline tumor burden may serve as a prognostic factor for OS in RAI-R DTC patients treated with lenvatinib.

Summary: This study integrated and analyzed the expression patterns and clinical significance of TNF family-related genes in gliomas. It was found that the expression of most TNF family members was positively correlated and most were related to the overall survival of patients. A TNF family-based signature was developed and shown to be an independent prognostic marker for glioma patients.

Summary: The expression level of CLCF1 is related to the prognosis of glioma and is associated with the response to immunotherapy, suggesting that it may be a promising therapeutic target.

Summary: SH3BGRL2 is weakly expressed in GBM and IDH1 wildtype GBM, and its ectopic expression inhibits GBM cell growth, migration, and GSCs self-renewal both in vitro and in vivo, by suppressing key regulators like SOX2 and CD133. This suggests SH3BGRL2 has potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target for glioma patients.

Summary: This study found that cognitive functioning is independently related to survival in diffuse glioma patients, with impairments in executive functioning and memory significantly correlated with survival. Extensive domain-specific neuropsychological assessment was more strongly correlated to survival than MMSE.

Summary: This study investigated the expression of BZW1 in glioma and its relationship with clinicopathological features and prognosis. It was found that BZW1 was highly expressed in glioma and correlated with poor prognosis. BZW1 promoted glioma proliferation and progression, and was also associated with the tumor immune microenvironment.

Summary: The study found that TUSC2 protein expression is reduced in glioblastoma compared to normal brain due to protein destabilization. NEDD4-mediated polyubiquitination is a novel mechanism for TUSC2 degradation in glioblastoma. TUSC2 loss promotes glioblastoma progression through upregulation of Bcl-xL and its knockout gene signature predicts poor patient survival.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate whether preoperative tumor biomarkers CEA and NSE could serve as independent predictors for postoperative prognosis in patients with TETs. The results showed that preoperative serum CEA levels and tumor size may be strong predictors of postoperative overall survival in patients with TETs.

Summary: This study found a relationship between glioma and lipid metabolism and established a risk model based on lipid metabolism-related genes that can effectively predict prognosis in glioma patients. Additionally, the model can stratify patients into different groups with distinct immune characteristics, suggesting that immunotherapy may be beneficial for glioma patients with specific lipid metabolism profiles.

Summary: Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive malignant brain tumor with high morbidity and mortality rates. There is a lack of systematic and comprehensive analysis on the prognostic significance of alternative splicing (AS) profiling for GBM, but prognostic models can effectively stratify patient risk and offer potentially more effective treatment options for GBM patients, supported by the study's findings.

Summary: A series of symptomatic SEACs in adults were studied, finding that the lesions were often located in the lumbar segment and presented with symptoms such as back pain, sensory deficits, and weakness. Complete microsurgical cyst removal with dural closure yielded good results with no recurrence observed.
