Summary: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of inherited chromosomally integrated human herpesvirus 6 (iciHHV-6) in hospitalized patients and investigate the clinical features of individuals carrying this integration. HHV-6 PCR on hair follicles was used to confirm iciHHV-6 status when the blood viral load was more than 5 Log(10) copies/mL. The results showed that the prevalence of iciHHV-6 in our population was 2.6% (53/2019).

Analysis of Circulating Food Antigen-Specific T-Cells in Celiac Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Summary: By analyzing patients with celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease, it was found that antigen-specific effector T-cells can respond to barrier disruption and antigen translocation in the peripheral blood. Using antigen-reactive T-cell enrichment technique, it was observed that the frequency and phenotype of nutritional antigen-specific T-cells correlated to the presence of intestinal inflammation in patients with Celiac disease and Crohn's disease. These findings suggest that active small intestinal inflammation is crucial for the development of a peripheral food antigen-specific T-cell response in Crohn's disease and celiac disease.

Furthermore, VZV-specific T cells were found to play an important role in the pathogenesis of PHN.

A better understanding of the pathogenic role of Notch2 and the development of targeted therapies are desired.

Summary: BM fibrosis is a major pathology in myelofibrosis and is associated with overexpression of OPN protein. ERK1/2 is a key regulator of OPN production, and inhibiting ERK1/2 activity can reduce OPN production and hinder the development of BM fibrosis. Targeting OPN and ERK1/2 could be potential therapeutic strategies for myelofibrosis.

Summary: This study investigated the feasibility of producing mutated-NPM1-specific cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) for the treatment of NPM1-mutated AML patients. The results showed that mutated-NPM1-specific CTLs with specific cytokine production and high cytotoxicity against patients' leukemia cells could be obtained from both patients and donors. These polyfunctional mutated-NPM1-specific CTLs included both CD8+ and CD4+ T cells with strong lytic capacity.
