James Watson, Mark A. Green, Clarissa Giebel, Frances Darlington-Pollock, Asangaedem Akpan

Summary: This study examines the social and spatial variations in healthcare use among people diagnosed with dementia in England. The findings reveal significant differences in healthcare utilization among different social and spatial groups, with certain groups more likely to experience negative outcomes. Measures such as improved healthcare continuity, health checks, culturally appropriate services, and better treatment and infrastructure are necessary to reduce healthcare inequalities for people living with dementia.

Jesus del Pozo-Cruz, Borja del Pozo Cruz, Miguel A. Perez-Sousa, Rosa M. M. Alfonso-Rosa

Summary: This study found that activity fragmentation is associated with frailty status and all-cause mortality. Participants with low activity fragmentation and low physical activity, as well as those with low activity fragmentation and high physical activity, had a lower likelihood of frailty. In terms of all-cause mortality, participants with low activity fragmentation and low physical activity, low activity fragmentation and high physical activity, and high activity fragmentation and high physical activity had a lower risk of mortality.

Tracy Nau, William Bellew, Billie Giles-Corti, Adrian Bauman, Ben J. Smith

Summary: This article presents a systematic process for mapping laws relevant to physical activity (PA) in order to understand the important role of laws as a policy lever. The study provides a practical case study and guidance for conducting legal mapping of laws that influence the built environment for PA, emphasizing the need for accessible legal data to drive the design and implementation of interventions to improve population PA.
