A unified formulation has been presented to understand the properties of nanomaterials as well as bulk materials. The model is used to discuss the properties of different nanomaterials as well as bulk materials under different conditions of size, shape, pressure and temperature. The model predictions have been reported with experimental data. A fair agreement between theory and experiment predicts the suitability of theory developed. To discuss different phenomenon using a single theory is the dream of science, which is much difficult task. Moreover, the present paper, provides the theory for this purpose and therefore, the work may be useful for researchers.
