Summary: The upregulated expression of hsa_circRNA_0088036 in bladder cancer is positively correlated with overall survival and clinicopathologic characteristics. Knockdown of hsa_circRNA_0088036 inhibits the growth, migration, and invasion of bladder cancer cells, acting through the miR-140-3p/FOXQ1 signaling pathway.

Summary: In this study, RNA sequencing was performed to analyze the expression profiles of non-coding RNAs in radioresistant nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells. A ceRNA network involving lncRNAs, miRNAs, and mRNAs was identified and further confirmed. It was found that the CASC19/miR-340-3p/FKBP5 network plays a crucial role in regulating radioresistance in NPC by enhancing autophagy. These findings provide potential new therapeutic targets for NPC.

Summary: The study revealed that circTRAF3 plays a crucial role in metastasis and survival of NPC patients by adsorbing miR-203a-3p to eliminate its inhibitory effect on AKT3, thus acting as an oncogene in NPC. This finding provides a new therapeutic target for metastatic NPC.

Summary: This study revealed that the expression levels of miR-372-3p were upregulated in placental tissues from patients with PE, especially in those with early-onset PE. In vitro analysis demonstrated that miR-372-3p overexpression inhibited trophoblast cell migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). The study also found that miR-372-3p is sponged by twist1 and downregulating twist1 expression can rescue the inhibitory effects of miR-372-3p overexpression.

Summary: This study found that lncRNA TP73-AS1 is upregulated in NPC cells and tissues and is associated with a poor prognosis. TP73-AS1 overexpression promotes NPC cell proliferation, colony formation, and DNA synthesis, while TP73-AS1 knockdown has the opposite effect. TP73-AS1 directly binds with miR-342-3p, and overexpression of miR-342-3p attenuates the effect of TP73-AS1 in NPC cells. Furthermore, TP73-AS1 is transferred by exosomes to promote M2 polarization of macrophages. Finally, exosomal TP73-AS1 enhances the motility and tube formation of macrophages.

Summary: The study revealed that high expression of BBOX1-AS1 was detected in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues, and its silencing significantly suppressed the proliferative, migratory, and invasive abilities in NPC cells. BBOX1-AS1 specifically bound to miR-3940-3 and abrogated the inhibition of KPNA2 induced by miR-3940-3.

Summary: This study found that circSOX9 acts as an oncogene in the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) through the miR-485-3p/SOX9 pathway, promoting the proliferation and invasion of NPC cells. The expression level of circSOX9 is positively correlated with the malignant progression of cancer.

Summary: The reduced expression of miR-197-3p in serum and exosomes of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) suggests its potential as a diagnostic and prognostic indicator. MiR-197-3p is closely related to radioresistance, apoptosis, proliferation, migration, and survival of NPC cells. Inhibition of miR-197-3p promotes NPC cell proliferation and migration, while its promotion inhibits cell growth and enhances radiosensitivity. MiR-197-3p regulates NPC progression and radioresistance by inhibiting AKT/mTOR phosphorylation activation and HSPA5-mediated autophagy. Exosomal miR-197-3p reduces proliferation and migration of NPC cells in vitro and tumor growth and radioresistance in vivo, making it a potential therapeutic agent for refractory NPC.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of miR-137 on the biological cell function of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells. Clinical samples and cell lines were used to detect the expression level of miR-137 and identify TWIST1 as a target. Up-regulation of miR-137 resulted in decreased TWIST1 expression and inhibited cell functions such as proliferation, invasion, migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). The findings suggest that miR-137 could be a potential therapeutic target for NPC.

Summary: This study found that miR-653-3p is highly expressed in CRC cells and promotes the development of CRC through mechanisms such as increasing DNA damage, inhibiting apoptosis, and promoting chromosomal instability. MiR-653-3p regulates the SIRT1/TWIST1 signaling pathway to control genomic instability, proliferation, migration, and chemoresistance of CRC cells.
