Summary: Pregnant women with severe and critical COVID-19 are at an increased risk for certain morbidities when compared with nonpregnant women. Despite higher comorbidities in the nonpregnant group, pregnant women had a higher risk for composite morbidity, intubation, mechanical ventilation, and ICU admission. This suggests that pregnancy may be associated with worse outcomes in women with severe and critical COVID-19.

Multivariable logistic analysis also revealed a higher risk of ICU admission when pre-eclampsia or hemorrhagic events coexist with pneumonia.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and psychological distress in China: Does neighbourhood matter?

People's perception of the expected duration of COVID-19 is associated with higher levels of psychological distress, which can be partially moderated by the perception of neighborhood noise level and overall environment quality. However, the addition of progestin did not seem to improve oncologic outcomes. Close and long-term follow-up with ultrasonography and hysteroscopic biopsies is recommended, and hysterectomy should be considered for patients who do not desire pregnancy.

Summary: Background: The COVID-19 pandemic in Italy has had a major impact on the management of vulvar cancer (VC) patients, causing treatment delays and high mortality rates. This study retrospectively analyzed the medical records of VC patients at a hospital in Naples between February 2020 and January 2022. Out of 24 patients analyzed, 29.2% were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection, resulting in treatment delays and complications, including two deaths.
