Summary: One of the most promising approaches for gene regulation is the microRNA therapeutic method, which focuses on controlling the activity of microRNAs (miRNAs) that are dysregulated in diseases such as cancer. This can be achieved by inhibiting overexpressed miRNAs or restoring downregulated miRNAs using miRNA-mimics. The development of efficient and targeted vectors for delivering these molecules is a crucial topic in pharmacological modulation of miRNAs.

Summary: The neuroprotective effects of extracellular vesicles derived from neural stem cells and hypoxia-preconditioned brain cells were investigated in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury (HIBI). Both types of vesicles showed decreased infarct size, and NSC-EVs resulted in significantly fewer TUNEL+ cells. Brain-EVs expressed specific miRNAs that have been shown to be downregulated after HIBI. Understanding the regenerative effects and contents of these vesicles could lead to targeted therapies for reducing morbidity and mortality in neonates affected by HIBI.

Summary: HPV vaccine may induce inflammation but does not worsen mouse EAE, whereas circulating EV miR-451a levels are associated with EAE severity. Excessive glucose uptake increases EV miR-451a levels and exacerbates mouse EAE, suggesting that environmental factors play a larger role than the HPV vaccine in exacerbating autoimmune disorders.

Summary: This study investigated the role of miR-1592 carried by exosomes derived from BMSCs in glioma. The results showed that BMSC-derived exosomes can suppress the development of glioma in vivo and in vitro by interfering with the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, including inhibiting cell invasion, metastasis, apoptosis, and proliferation.

Summary: This study evaluated the effects of miR-214/5AE on a mouse model of HSA and found that it can inhibit tumor growth by inducing apoptosis and suppressing cell proliferation.
