Summary: This letter proposes the first building wireless performance evaluation scheme considering channel hardening for an indoor massive MIMO system. A metric called channel hardening obstruction (CHO) is defined to describe the expectation value change of channel hardening ratio brought about by a building under design (BUD). Closed-form expressions for the defined metric are derived. Monte-Carlo simulations validate the proposed scheme under various indoor scenarios, demonstrating the correlation between CHO and BUD's room amount. The proposed evaluation scheme can be used to design new or retrofit existing buildings with adequate massive MIMO performance.

Summary: This paper proposes a precision landing method based on a Kalman filter to increase the flight time of quadcopters. It uses a local positioning system for tracking performance and a multi-ranger sensor to improve the accuracy of horizontal errors during the landing phase. The relative velocity of the system is estimated using a Kalman filter technique, which is then used to control the quadcopter's position during landing. A charging state machine law is also proposed to sequentially charge the quadcopters' batteries. Experimental results show that the proposed method enhances the accuracy of the landing phase compared to conventional methods.

Summary: This article proposes inductive power transfer (IPT) systems based on segmented transmitter (Tx) coils for continuous wireless power delivery to multiple transport robots in an electrified monorail system (EMS). The segmented Tx coil structure allows for flexible installation, easy fabrication, and insensitivity to IPT characteristics. The proposed IPT system uses folded Tx coils and an optimally sized Rx coil to eliminate magnetic dead zones between adjacent Tx coils. Experimental results show that the proposed system achieves higher dc power efficiency compared to conventional Tx coils.

Summary: This paper proposes a predetermined performance controller for a modular charging system for electric vehicles to solve the problem of large voltage fluctuation caused by the entering and leaving of electric vehicles, which affects the battery's service life. A barrier Lyapunov function is introduced and combined with the backstepping method to design the controller, ensuring that the system's output voltage can be limited within a certain range. To deal with the unknown changes in system load caused by the entering and leaving of electric vehicles, a finite-time load estimator is designed to estimate the load variation, which is then introduced into the controller to improve its adaptive ability.
