Summary: Reactions in both protic and aprotic water-miscible solvents can be affected by water presence, as seen in the water-induced quenching of Tb(III) luminescence in a methanolic solution containing salicylic acid. This quenching was used for accurate measurement of water content in various solvents at concentrations ranging from 0.1% to 4% (v/v).

Summary: In this study, a MnO2-modified Ag-based codoped upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) was designed as an optical turn-on fluorometric probe for highly sensitive and selective detection of trace As3+ (0.028 ppb). Luminescence resonance energy transfer (LRET) between MnO2 as the energy acceptor and cod-AMO-3 as the energy donor was utilized for the detection of As3+.
