Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have recently been getting a great deal of attention in many fields of science and technology. With a growing interest in this field, there is an urge to understand their effect on the solubility of drugs, which in turn would assist in further designing of drug formation. In the present study, we have investigated a comprehensive assessment of interactional behavior between the some sustainable DESs containing choline chloride (ChCI) and urea (U), ethylene glycol (EG), glycerol (G), oxalic acid (OA) and malonic acid (MA) and drugs; acetaminophen (ACP), naproxen (NAP), celecoxib (CLX), piroxicam (PIR), meloxicam (MEL) and betamethasone (BETA). The purpose of this research was twofold. First, the solubility of drugs are investigated in the water and neat DESs at various temperatures and dynamic light scattering (DLS) measurements and polarized optical microscope (POM) have been employed to get insight into interactions among DESs and drugs in the interfacial region for the second one. The results showed that the three measurement sets are very consistent, which indicated that the solubility of drugs in DES has increased significantly. Also, Hansen solubility parameters (HSP) were used to evaluate DESs performance during the solubilization processes and will be useful in guessing solvent behavior in many other fields of effort. The experimental and the HSPs results are very well matched. The solubility data on drugs in these neoteric green solvents have wide applications in the pharmaceutical sciences.
