Summary: By using a Fisher matrix formalism based on recent advances in Lagrangian perturbation theory, constraints for future spectroscopic and 21-cm surveys on the standard cosmological model and its extensions were forecasted and compared with those achievable by current or near-future surveys, such as DESI and Euclid, under the same forecasting formalism. Additionally, comparisons were made between the formalism used and traditional linear methods.

Summary: Cosmic voids are powerful probes of cosmology, especially in studying the nature of gravity and the neutrino mass. Recent studies have shown that measurements of void imprint on the lensed Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) are in tension with expectations based on simulations, suggesting the possibility of non-standard cosmological signatures due to massive neutrinos. This study uses cosmological simulations with massive neutrino cosmologies to investigate the impact of neutrinos on void properties observed in photometric surveys and the void-CMB lensing cross-correlation. The results provide insights into the potential role of massive neutrinos in explaining the tension observed and propose a new quantity for distinguishing different neutrino masses through future observations.

Summary: Using luminous red galaxies selected from imaging surveys for targeting by the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) in combination with CMB lensing maps from the Planck collaboration, researchers probed the amplitude of large-scale structure over 0.4 <= z <= 1. Their findings suggest a slower growth of structure at low redshift than model predictions, with only modest significance.

Summary: The study reconstructs the evolution of matter fluctuations amplitude from redshift 2 to low redshifts using existing large-scale structure data, showing that the current data mainly constrain the fluctuations amplitude in the range of 0.2 < z < 0.7, which is lower than predicted by Planck. However, the data are well-described by the ACDM model despite the tension with Planck, and constraints on the parameter S8 reach almost percent-level errors comparable with CMB measurements, deviating 3.4 Sigma away from the value found by Planck.

Summary: This study examines the impact of fiber assignment on galaxy clustering and its cross correlation with weak lensing fields. The results show that fiber assignment not only suppresses the amplitude of the galaxy power spectrum, but also introduces artificial correlation of structure at different redshifts, leading to a decrease in the amplitude of the galaxy-lensing cross power spectrum. However, by adjusting the observed galaxy probabilities, the effects of fiber assignment on the cross power spectrum can be mitigated to an accuracy of approximately 1%, while the galaxy power spectrum cannot be fully corrected.

Summary: This study examines the impact of fiber assignment on galaxy clustering measurements and its cross correlation with weak lensing fields. It is found that fiber assignment not only suppresses the amplitude of the galaxy power spectrum, but also introduces artificial correlation of structures at different redshifts, thereby suppressing the amplitude of the galaxy-lensing cross power spectrum. The effects of fiber assignment on the cross power spectrum can be mitigated by assigning observed galaxies with a probability to be observed, while the correction for the galaxy power spectrum remains challenging.

Summary: We present for the first time halo number counts and their two-point statistics extracted from relativistic N-body simulations. The halo catalogues are built from the relativistic N-body code gevolution, and the observed positions and redshifts of the sources are computed using a non-perturbative ray-tracing method. We investigate the validity and limitations of linear bias prescription and test a second-order perturbative bias expansion for angular statistics. We also extract the cross-correlation of halo number counts and lensing convergence, finding consistent linear bias estimates and the importance of considering magnification effects.

Summary: In this study, we propose an estimator for the lensing potential using galaxy number counts, which includes a linear and a quadratic term. Our results demonstrate that this estimator has a significantly higher signal-to-noise ratio compared to the corresponding estimator from intensity mapping. The improved signal-to-noise ratio is attributed to the additional lensing term in the number count angular power spectrum, which appears at linear order. We estimate the signal-to-noise ratio for future photometric surveys and find that it can reach an order of magnitude of 30, particularly at high redshifts (z greater than or similar to 1.5). Therefore, we argue that number counts in photometric surveys are an excellent tool for measuring tomographic lensing spectra.

Summary: Recent lensing measurements at low redshifts suggest that the amplitude of lensing in the universe may be lower than predicted by the Lambda CDM model based on Planck CMB data. By analyzing the auto-and cross-correlation signal of unWISE galaxies and Planck CMB lensing maps, cosmological parameters at low redshifts have been inferred, showing tensions with the CMB predictions. The combination of blue, green, and red unWISE samples gives a value of S-8 = 0.784 +/- 0.015, consistent with other low-redshift lensing measurements and in tension with the CMB predictions from Planck.

Summary: Cross-correlations between CMB lensing and large-scale structure tracers offer a unique method to study dark matter growth, break degeneracies in cosmology, and test modified gravity theories. By detecting a significant cross-correlation between DESI-like luminous red galaxies and CMB lensing maps, corrections for magnification bias and galaxy bias were determined, showing excellent agreement with survey expectations. This analysis provides valuable insights into the growth of dark matter and the evolution of large-scale structures.

Summary: The Lyα forest is a valuable tool for mapping large-scale structures at high redshifts and constraining the distance-redshift relation. By expanding the large-scale correlations in the Lyα forest as cumulants of the optical depth field and relating it to the density field through bias expansion, a direct connection between observable and matter fluctuation statistics is established. Small-scale physics influences predictions, velocity bias origins, and renormalization of large-scale bias coefficients, with both isotropic and anisotropic contributions receiving input from small-scale physics.

Summary: In this study, a method for computing the one-loop 2-point function of biased tracers in redshift space is presented using Lagrangian perturbation theory, with a full resummation of long-wavelength displacements and velocities. The model accurately predicts the power spectrum and correlation function of halos and mock galaxies, including baryon acoustic oscillation signal damping due to bulk galaxy motions. The study also compares this full resummation approach with other techniques and discusses the computation of resulting expressions numerically for efficient computation.

Summary: A new method for analyzing the pre-and post-reconstruction galaxy two-point functions of the BOSS survey is presented. The post-reconstruction correlation function accurately measures the distance-redshift relation and expansion history, while the pre-reconstruction power spectrum multipoles constrain the broad-band shape and rate-of-growth of large-scale structure. The technique uses Lagrangian perturbation theory to directly work with the measured data at the level of two-point functions without approximations. Combining galaxies across the full redshift range and both hemispheres, constraints on Omega(m), H-0, and sigma(8) are obtained that are consistent with the Planck primary CMB anisotropy data and recent cosmic shear surveys.

Summary: Simulations are essential for accurate modeling of observables in galaxy surveys, but can be expensive when a large dynamic range is required. This study presents a method that combines Lagrangian perturbation theory models with N-body simulations to reduce the effects of finite computational volume on the prediction of ensemble average properties in the simulations. By utilizing the correlation between Zel'dovich displacements and the final density field, the method achieves significant reductions in sample variance for power spectrum or correlation function estimation. It has the potential to extend simulations to larger scales and improve measurements of statistics in simulations that are limited to small volumes.

Summary: The optical depth tau is an important parameter in cosmology, but it is least well determined. Future reionization experiments using symmetries-based bias expansion could provide tight constraints on tau. These experiments would require measuring anisotropies in the power spectrum on large scales. Ionization evolution models can help in constraining the timing and duration of reionization, and hence tau, through next-generation 21 cm surveys.
