Summary: This study compared the prognosis of hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach (HAS) and gastric signet ring cell carcinoma (SRC) patients, showing no significant difference in overall survival between the two. However, in patients with advanced tumor stage, HAS may have a worse prognosis than SRC.

Summary: This study evaluated prognostic factors in patients with adenocarcinoma of the oesophagogastric junction (AEG) receiving neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy and built predictive models. The results showed that inflammation-based and nutrition-related factors, as well as postoperative pathologic stage, significantly influenced overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in AEG patients.

Summary: This study aimed to determine whether yp stage of colon cancer after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) can serve as a prognostic indicator for locally advanced colon cancer (LACC). The results showed that cancer-specific survival (CSS) was poorer among LACC patients who underwent NAC, and yp stage of colon cancer after NAC has distinctive significance in predicting prognosis and guiding treatment.

Summary: The study assessed the prognostic significance of immune inflammation and nutritional index in patients with medulloblastoma, finding that SII, ALBI, and coSII-PNI are robust prognostic biomarkers for predicting overall survival in these patients undergoing surgical resection.

Summary: This study evaluated the potential prognostic role of the systemic inflammation response index (SIRI) in critically ill patients. The results showed that high SIRI levels were associated with an increased risk of 90-day, 30-day, and 1-year mortality in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Summary: This study established a reliable prognostic-risk model based on basement membrane-related genes, which showed close association with LUAD prognosis. It also revealed the involvement of immune cell infiltration and checkpoints in LUAD. In terms of treatment, low-risk patients may benefit from cyclopamine and docetaxel therapies.

Summary: The study showed that for PDAC patients undergoing resection, selection for NAT is associated with fewer postoperative complications, particularly for patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy. These findings are important for discussions on multidisciplinary treatment sequencing.

Summary: While RPD showed better outcomes in terms of surgical time, blood loss, complications, and postoperative delayed gastric emptying, it had similar oncological outcomes in terms of lymph node yield and 5-year survival rate compared to OPD. The study suggests that RPD is technically feasible and oncologically justifiable for pancreatic adenocarcinoma patients.

Summary: SIRI showed better predictive ability for the prognosis and mortality of ICH patients, while NLR was mainly associated with functional outcomes. The study found that SIRI is an independent predictive indicator for 3-month functional outcomes and 1-month mortality in ICH patients.

Summary: This study tested the use of the neoadjuvant rectal (NAR) score as a predictor of 5-year overall survival (OS) in patients with rectal adenocarcinoma. The results showed that the NAR score is a strong predictor of 5-year OS, regardless of the patients' clinical stage or receipt of adjuvant chemotherapy.

Summary: This study compares the perioperative complications of FLOT and ECX/ECF chemotherapy regimens in patients undergoing surgery for resectable oesophagogastric adenocarcinoma. The results show that both FLOT and ECX/ECF are equally safe in terms of surgical complications.

Summary: This study investigated the prognostic prediction value of systemic inflammation and performance status in patients with colorectal cancer cachexia. The results showed that the systemic inflammatory markers CRP, LCR, and CAR were stable and consistent with the survival of patients with CRC, both in non-cachexia and cachexia populations. High inflammation and poor performance status indicated a worse prognosis in patients with CRC cachexia, compared with non-cachexia patients. The ECOG-PS may be an independent risk factor for CRC. The combined evaluation of systemic inflammation and ECOG-PS could provide a simple survival prediction for patients with CRC cachexia.
