Summary: Building-integrated rooftop greenhouses (BiRTGs) are innovative vertical farms that provide environmental benefits through recycling energy, carbon dioxide, and water. This study used building energy simulations and computational fluid dynamics techniques to analyze the energy-saving efficiency of BiRTGs. The results showed a 5.2% reduction in energy load for growing tomatoes in a BiRTG, with positive energy-saving effects from October to April.

Summary: This study presents a technical and economic analysis of a 216 kWp grid-connected rooftop photovoltaic system. The system generates an average annual energy output of 326,819 kWh and supplies 294,838 kWh to the grid. The performance ratio is 0.808, with a net present value of $36,463.39 and a levelized cost of electricity of 0.065 $/kWh. It is estimated that the system will prevent the emission release of 127.419 tCO2 per year.

Summary: This study examines providers' perceptions of integrated care prior to the merger of a university's student health center and counseling services. Providers believe that interdisciplinary team can improve the coordination, access, and quality of care for students. However, they also express concerns about anticipated challenges such as differences in training and care protocols, and potential loss of autonomy. This qualitative study provides insights for the implementation of integrated care in a university setting.

Summary: Building a smart energy system that integrates photovoltaic (PV) utilization and electric vehicle (EV) systems is crucial for cities aiming to achieve a low-carbon future. This study developed a framework to simulate the interaction between PV + EV systems and load, and evaluate their energy, environmental, and economic impacts at the city level. The results, based on the case study of Shenzhen, China, showed that integrating EVs with PV can significantly improve PV self-consumption and reduce CO2 emissions, leading to cost savings.
