Summary: In this study, a simple chemical synthesis method was used to prepare polypyrrole/silver/graphene (Ppy/Ag/Gr) ternary nanocomposites with varying concentrations of graphene. The interaction between polypyrrole, silver, and graphene was studied using XRD, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopies. The results showed that the addition of the optimum concentration of graphene into Ppy/Ag enhanced its photocatalytic property. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the enhancement of photocatalysis in the Ppy/Ag/Gr sample was due to the increased surface area.

Summary: A one-step picosecond laser direct-writing method is proposed to synthesize graphene/MnO nanocomposites and process interdigital electrodes for microsupercapacitors, achieving a high specific capacitance of 470 mF cm(-2). The symmetric microsupercapacitors based on graphene/MnO interdigital electrodes exhibit excellent electrochemical performance, with a maximum energy density of 4.89 mu MTh cm(-2) and a maximum power density of 0.72 mW cm(-2). This approach also offers a way to synthesize other graphene/metal oxide nanocomposites for microsupercapacitors.

Summary: In this study, chitosan-functionalized bismuth oxychloride/zinc oxide (BiOCl/ZnO) nanocomposite was synthesized by a modified hydrothermal route. The synthesized nanocomposite showed crystalline, agglomerated spherical, and rod-shaped morphology with a size range of 35 to 160 nm. UV-light irradiation demonstrated the high catalytic degradation ability of the synthesized nanocomposite towards Congo red (CR) dye. Moreover, the CS-BiOCl/ZnO photocatalyst showed significant photocatalytic activity even after three consecutive cycles, indicating its potential application for organic pollutant remediation in various industries.

Summary: The study tested the ability of a polypyrrole-Iron oxide-seaweed nanocomposite to remove congo red from aqueous solution. The nanocomposite showed high efficiency in removing the dye under optimized conditions and could be effectively reused up to five cycles. Adsorption isotherm studies, kinetic studies, and thermodynamic properties were investigated to understand the mechanism of sorption. The outcomes prove the nanocomposite to be a promising, recyclable, and cost-effective adsorbent for dye-bearing water treatment.
