Summary: The study demonstrates that miR-32 promotes MYC-induced prostate adenocarcinoma and identifies PDK4 as a PC-relevant metabolic target of miR-32-3p. Elevated expression of miR-32 influences prostate tumor growth and phenotype, and regulates the expression of prostate secretome and several PC-related target genes.

Summary: In this study, the high expression of circCDYL in HER2(+) breast cancer tissue was found to promote cell proliferation independent of the miR-1275-ULK1/ATG7 autophagic axis. MiR-92b-3p was shown to cleave circCDYL in a silencing-dependent manner, and both circCDYL and miR-92b-3p were identified as potential biomarkers for predicting clinical outcomes in HER2(+) breast cancer patients.

Summary: Recent research has found that circRNAs, particularly circ_ATAD3B, can be potential therapeutic targets for breast cancer (BC). However, the biological role of circ_ATAD3B in BC remains unclear. This study aimed to understand the function of circ_ATAD3B in BC development. Through analyzing expression profiles, it was discovered that circ_ATAD3B acts as a miR-570-3p sponge, suppressing cell survival and proliferation in BC. The tumor suppressor circ_ATAD3B regulates the miR-570-3p/MX2 pathway, preventing cancer progression in BC cells.

Summary: In this study, lnc-RGS5 was found to be upregulated in breast cancer tissues and associated with the overall survival of patients with triple-negative breast cancer. Functionally, upregulation of lnc-RGS5 promoted breast cancer cell proliferation. Mechanistically, lnc-RGS5 acted as a competing endogenous RNA to sponge miR-542-5p and upregulate the FoxM1 and VEGFA/Neuropilin 1 axis, thereby promoting breast cancer cell proliferation.

Summary: CUL4B promotes TAM resistance in breast cancer cells by upregulating ER-alpha 36 expression through the regulation of miR-32-5p. This mechanism involves epigenetic modifications mediated by CRL4B, PRC2, and HDAC complexes, and targeting these complexes can increase sensitivity to TAM in breast cancer cells.

Summary: This study aimed to identify differentially expressed genes and ncRNAs in breast cancer tissues compared to normal adjacent tissues, and found miR-4510 as a potential biomarker for breast cancer. The study used MACE-Seq and small RNA-Seq to analyze gene expression and identified miR-4510 as significantly down-regulated in breast cancer. Experimental data suggested that miR-4510 may function as a tumor suppressor in breast cancer.

Summary: Glucometabolic reprogramming plays a significant role in the development and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By altering the glucose metabolism pathway, HCC cells can survive and thrive in nutrient-poor tumor microenvironments and evade immune surveillance. Targeted interventions against glucose metabolism and signaling pathways hold promising prospects for HCC therapy.

Summary: System paclitaxel-based chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for breast cancer, but chemotherapy resistance remains a major challenge. Our study shows that IFT20 is associated with shorter relapse-free survival in patients receiving paclitaxel chemotherapy. High expression of IFT20 in breast cancer cells increases resistance to paclitaxel-induced cell death, while IFT20 knockdown enhances apoptosis. Mechanistically, IFT20 modulates ASK1 signaling to drive paclitaxel resistance. IFT20 may serve as a potential molecular biomarker for predicting response to paclitaxel therapy in breast cancer.

Summary: In recent years, the prevalence of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) has become a major cause of liver fibrosis worldwide. The progression of liver fibrosis is associated with severe liver-related and cardiovascular events, as well as mortality in MAFLD patients. Multiple pathways are involved in promoting the progression of liver fibrosis in MAFLD, leading to an increased interest in multi-drug combination therapy strategies. This review discusses the mechanisms of MAFLD-related liver fibrosis, current intervention and treatment methods, and explores safer and more effective strategies for multi-drug combination therapy in MAFLD and its subsequent liver fibrosis.

Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer-related death, and effective diagnosis and treatment measures are urgently needed. Microvascular invasion (MVI) has been identified as an independent risk factor for poor prognosis after hepatectomy. Abnormal expression of biomacromolecules in HCC patients, such as circRNAs, lncRNAs, STIP1, and PD-L1, is strongly associated with MVI. These biomarkers play important roles in the progression and development of HCC cells through multiple complex mechanisms.

Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly malignant tumor with a high incidence and mortality rate. Early detection and treatment are crucial for improving prognosis. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is commonly used for HCC diagnosis, but its accuracy is limited. Surgery and liver transplantation are main treatments, while drug therapy and local interventions are better options for advanced HCC. Non-coding RNA has been found to play a role in tumor development and can serve as a biomarker for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment assessment. This article explores the unique role of circulating noncoding RNA in HCC from various perspectives.
