Summary: The study found that the ICD-11 can fully represent approximately 23.5% of the most frequently used ICD-10-CM codes without postcoordination, and with postcoordination support, it can fully represent about 35.2% of the codes. Most conflicts resulted from differences in granularity and default coding assumptions between the ICD-11 and ICD-10-CM.

Summary: The ICD-11 classification of personality disorders represents a paradigm shift in diagnosis, abolishing all previous categories except for a general description of personality disorder and allowing for specification of severity. It describes patient behavior using five personality trait domains and shows alignment with the DSM-5 Alternative Model for Personality Disorders. Early evidence on the reliability and validity of the new model is promising, but wider adoption by clinicians in regular clinical practice is needed for its success.

Summary: ICD-11 has reformed the diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, focusing on its diagnostic validity and clinical utility. Research indicates an overlap between the ICD-11 anankastia domain and DSM-5 OCPD traits, with factor analyses supporting the diagnostic validity of this domain. Further studies are needed to fully explore the clinical utility of the ICD-11 PD model in relation to obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.

Summary: The World Health Organization’s international classification of disease version 11 (ICD-11) offers improved classification of patient safety events. Three suggestions for facilitating adoption of ICD-11 from a patient safety perspective have been identified. These include incorporating ICD-11 into patient safety monitoring approaches at all levels of healthcare leadership, incorporating ICD-11 into software solutions to enhance clinical and administrative workflows related to patient safety management, and adopting ICD-11 using a continuous improvement framework to strengthen existing initiatives and align safety efforts with post marketing surveillance of medical technologies.

Summary: This study examined the validity and utility of the recently developed self-report inventory PDS-ICD-11 for assessing the severity of ICD-11 personality disorders (PD) in a community mental health sample. The results showed that PDS-ICD-11 had moderate-to-large associations with all clinician ratings and variable associations with self-report and informant-report measures. PDS-ICD-11 mean scores significantly differed across all levels of ICD-11 PD clinician-rated diagnostic levels.

Summary: The International Classification of Diseases (ICD) serves as a common diagnostic and classification tool worldwide, aiming to improve the accuracy of mortality and morbidity statistics for allergic and hypersensitivity conditions. The recent change in hierarchy in ICD-11 has allowed for a dedicated section addressing these conditions, leading to more accurate classification and definitions. The implementation of ICD-11 was adopted at the 72nd World Health Assembly in May 2019.

Summary: The 11th version of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) recognizes complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) as a separate diagnosis from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is defined by six sets of symptoms, three shared with PTSD and three representing disturbances in self-organization. While there is evidence supporting ICD-11 CPTSD, an explanatory theory for its development is still lacking.

Summary: This study presents the selection process of allergens for fitting the structure of WHO ICD-11 and provides a classification of allergens based on real-life relevance. A total of 1109 allergens (76.8%) were selected from a database of 1444, with an additional 297 relevant allergens chosen based on real-life data. The stepwise approach used in this study is essential for building a classification of allergens for the WHO ICD-11, and it has significant implications for clinical practice.
