Deep eutectic solvent (DES) is a versatile platform for the construction of high-performance electrocatalysts. However, all-in-one (working as solvent, template and reactant precursor) deep eutectic solvent is rarely reported for the construction of electrocatalysts toward oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Here, the DES formed by cobalt salt and urea was used as an all-in-one platform for the construction of two-dimensional (2D) [Co-(NH3) 4CO3]Cl nanosheets. After activation process, the 2D [Co(NH3)(4)CO3] Cl nanosheets could convert to amorphous CoOOH, resulting in good catalytic performance (outperforming most of the state-of-the-art catalysts) with 291 mV to achieve 10 mA cm(-2) and a satisfied Tafel slope (65 mV dec(-1)). Moreover, the long-term stability results indicate its good durability for OER The present all-in-one DES strategy toward OER catalysts might open the door for rational design of advanced catalysts from sustainable way.
