Summary: This study evaluates the combined effects of age and endometriosis on ovarian reserve in women with infertility. The results show that endometriosis is associated with lower anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) and antral follicular count (AFC), and the impact is more significant in women aged 35 years or older.

Summary: This study compares the change in ovarian reserve after catheter-directed ethanol sclerotherapy in patients with recurrent endometrioma and primary endometrioma. The results show that the effect of catheter-directed ethanol sclerotherapy on ovarian reserve is similar in both groups.

Summary: This study compared ovarian reserve function and outcomes after IVF-ET for young women with pelvic endometriosis, with or without ovarian endometrioma. The study found that ovarian endometrioma significantly impairs ovarian reserve function and affects treatment efficacy. Obtaining more high-quality embryos is important for IVF-ET treatment in these patients.

Summary: This study investigated the changes and relationships of various molecules in the follicular fluid (FF) of infertile women with different reproductive conditions. It found that some biochemical components, hormones, antioxidant enzymes, F-2-Isoprostanes (F-2-IsoPs), and resolvin (Rv) D1 in the FF are associated with follicular growth, oocyte maturation, and female infertility. These findings highlight the importance of personalized therapeutic approaches and optimized assisted reproductive techniques (ART) outcomes.

Summary: Endometriosis is a risk factor for endometriosis-associated ovarian cancers. Analysis of OCCC samples with concurrent endometriosis revealed upregulation of cell cycle regulation and DNA replication pathways, and downregulation of cytokine receptor signaling and matrisome pathways. MiR-10a-5p was identified as a potentially oncogenic molecule with significant impact.

Summary: This article discusses the integration of anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) into the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. AMH can be used to estimate ovarian reserve, determine the dosage of ovarian stimulation, and predict stimulation response. However, it does not reflect oocyte health or chances for pregnancy. Low AMH levels may suggest a shortened reproductive window. AMH levels need to be interpreted in the context of the endogenous endocrine environment, and there is an inverse correlation between body mass index and AMH.

Summary: This retrospective cohort study aimed to evaluate the outcome of fertility-preservation treatments in women with endometrioma, particularly those with endometrioma larger than 4 cm. The results showed that women who underwent surgery for endometrioma before fertility-preservation treatment had a significant reduction in the number of MII oocytes. However, among those who did not undergo surgery, the size of endometrioma did not affect the outcomes.

Summary: The transcriptome of cumulus cells is altered in infertile women with advanced endometriosis, regardless of the presence of endometrioma. Differentially expressed genes in cumulus cells of endometriosis patients are involved in important pathways for oocyte competence acquisition, such as oxidative phosphorylation, metabolism, mitochondrial function, acetylation, and steroid biosynthesis. Comparing cumulus cells from women with advanced endometriosis with and without endometrioma did not show any differentially expressed genes.

Summary: The study evaluated the effectiveness of preoperative fertility preservation (FP) for patients with endometrioma, finding that these patients typically have lower levels of AMH and fewer retrieved oocytes during controlled ovarian stimulation (COS). The cumulative effect demonstrated that the number of cryopreserved oocytes or embryos can be increased by repeating cycles.

Summary: This review focuses on the occurrence of endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) in infertile women or those planning for pregnancy. It discusses the pathogenesis, genetic profiles, diagnosis, prognosis, and management of EAOC. EAOC appears to be associated with endometriomas, but is a rare occurrence.

Summary: In pregnancy, ovarian endometrioma and deep endometriotic nodules regress, but the morphological changes of endometriosis in pregnancy are difficult to differentiate from malignant lesions. Understanding the appearance of endometriosis in pregnancy is crucial for minimizing intervention and counseling women about their condition.

Summary: The surgical management of ovarian endometrioma in patients desiring fertility requires balancing disease resection and preservation of the normal ovarian cortex. Maintaining tubal anatomy is also important. Fertility-sparing laparoscopic techniques aim to minimize surgical damage to the ovarian cortex and assess and respond to genital tract patency.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the optimal time for laparoscopic cystectomy in patients with first identified unilateral ovarian endometrioma and evaluate its influence on ovarian reserve. The results showed that the late luteal phase is the optimal time for laparoscopic cystectomy in patients with first identified unilateral ovarian endometrioma, which can effectively protect ovarian tissue and preserve ovarian reserve.

Summary: This review discusses the methods and safety of entering the abdomen during laparoscopic surgery. It was found that there is no clear safety advantage among the Veress needle, direct trocar insertion, and open entry, and surgeons need to choose the appropriate method based on individual circumstances.
