Summary: The study found an association between overall pesticide exposure and several neurobehavioral outcome variables, but predominantly null associations when examining individual pesticide active ingredients, except for a positive association between glyphosate exposure and impaired visual memory. Further epidemiological studies are needed to evaluate glyphosate's neurotoxicity while considering confounding factors.

Summary: This study aims to understand the technology adoption status of smallholder farmers and identifies factors influencing adoption through the formation of two unique clusters. The Low awareness/low adoption cluster was characterized by older age, lower education level, smaller and less profitable dairy enterprises, and less contact with relevant organizations and extension staff. Farmers face multilayered and heterogeneous constraints to adopting dairy technologies.

Summary: This study investigated the knowledge, attitudes, and adoption of milk quality and food safety practices by smallholder farmers in Kenya. The results revealed low knowledge levels and negative attitudes, highlighting the need for improvement in knowledge and attitudes to implement better hygiene control, disease control, and antibiotic residue control practices.

Summary: Global warming has caused an increase in heat stress for animals, which can be measured using the Temperature Humidity Index (THI). This study examined the THI pattern and its relationship with the production performances of dairy cows in Bangladesh. The results showed that June had a higher THI value compared to January, leading to a decrease in milk production, milk fat, and protein content. However, ash content increased. Regression analysis revealed that a higher THI and rectal temperature were associated with lower milk yield.

Summary: This study examines the factors influencing the adoption of Sustainable Agricultural Practices (SAPs) in Nigeria using data from the 2015 General Household Survey, finding that adoption rates depend significantly on factors such as age of household head, gender, education, household size, access to extension services, and household wealth status. The results suggest that policymakers should focus on maintaining or increasing household asset bases and encouraging training programs to promote the adoption of SAPs.

Summary: Research suggests that smallholder farmers' participation in both single-commodity and multiple-commodity markets has positive effects on household income and food security, with the greatest benefits found in participating in multiple-commodity markets. Policies promoting diversification in crop income sources are crucial for enhancing welfare and food security.

Summary: Dairy productivity in sub-Saharan Africa has not reached its full potential, despite the increasing demand for milk due to population growth. This study focuses on the potential adoption of improved forages by smallholder farmers in Tanzania. Based on qualitative methods including farm visits, interviews, and a multi-stakeholder workshop, the study identifies and analyzes the factors influencing the adoption and diffusion of improved forage technologies. The findings highlight unsuitable climate, unfavorable socioeconomic conditions, positive community attitudes, ecological benefits, and the role of promoting institutions as key factors affecting the adoption potential.

Summary: The analysis of smallholder cocoa and tea farmers' data and literature reveals that a large proportion of them are unable to achieve a living income. Short-term interventions such as improving food security, health, finding alternative employment, and social assistance programs could be effective for households with a low likelihood of generating a living income.
