Summary: Lymphoma development is a serious complication of Sjögren's syndrome, commonly presenting as B-cell lymphomas. The progression towards lymphoma may be influenced by chronic antigenic stimulation and autoreactive B cell clones. Early identification and controlling disease activity could potentially reduce the risk of lymphoma in patients.

Summary: A more precise clinical recording of parotid swelling (PSW) can improve prediction of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in primary SS (pSS). PSW as an early symptom and longer duration are associated with higher NHL risk. The parotid gland microenvironment appears to be involved in the whole history of pSS and related lymphomagenesis, as NHL is prevalently localized in the parotid glands.

Summary: Salivary gland tumors are mostly benign, but may be malignant in certain cases. Patients with Sjogren syndrome have an increased risk for salivary gland tumors, often non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Clinical findings and imaging play crucial roles in diagnosis and management.

Summary: We found that normal memory B lymphocytes have a significant number of de novo mutations in the genome. In this study, we analyzed the somatic mutations in memory B cells expressing autoreactive rheumatoid factor (RF) from patients with Sjogren's syndrome (SS). The de novo exome mutations in RF B cells were different from those in healthy donor memory B cells, with a higher number of mutations and enrichment in genes mutated in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Additionally, one SS patient developed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) from an RF precursor clone identified 2 years earlier. Our findings provide new insights into the early stages of B-cell derailment and lymphomagenesis.

Summary: This study aimed to analyze the clinical characteristics of parotid lymphoma to identify diagnostic factors. It was found that all patients had well-defined, homogeneous solid masses, with 5 patients showing bilateral multiple lymphadenopathy on neck CT. Three patients had lymphocyte-related findings in FNAC. Despite the challenges in diagnosing parotid lymphoma, CT and FNAC findings can facilitate a differential diagnosis.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the general characteristics of MALT lymphoma in the head and neck and provided clinicians with new ideas for diagnosis and treatment. The results showed that 42 out of 114 patients had Sjogren's syndrome before diagnosis, and there was a significant gender difference between SS-MALT and non-SS-MALT. In terms of treatment methods, there was no significant difference in overall survival between surgery with or without chemoradiotherapy.

Summary: A 46-year-old woman with mixed connective tissue disease presented with clinical features of scleroderma and polymyositis. Despite having seropositive antibodies, she remained asymptomatic for respiratory issues over a 14-year period, but showed a decline in diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide, indicating interval development of restrictive lung function.

Summary: This study assessed the potential value of radiomics in discovering textural analysis biomarkers associated with lymphoma development in the parotid glands of patients with primary Sjogren's syndrome. It identified two radiomic parameters that were independently associated with NHL development in pSS and suggested the potential role of radiomics in revealing new imaging biomarkers for lymphoma in patients with pSS.

Summary: This study identified new signaling pathways in the progression of primary Sjogren syndrome (pSS) to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and discovered CD79A, CD79B, and LAMTOR4 as potential novel biomarkers for pSS progression into lymphoma.

Summary: This article reports a rare case of a collision tumor in which MALT lymphoma was found in both the thymus and lung with Sjogren's syndrome (SS) and lung adenocarcinoma. The study found that MALT lymphoma of the thymus and lung tissues has no specific presentation on imaging and the diagnoses of these tumors are highly dependent on histopathological examination in combination with molecular testing and cytogenetics. Additionally, SS may be an important potential condition for the occurrence of MALT lymphoma in the thymus and lung.

Summary: Patients with Sjogren's syndrome (SS) have a higher risk of developing malignant lymphoma, particularly mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma in the parotid gland. However, MALT lymphoma affecting the tongue is extremely rare in SS patients.

Summary: Duodenal MALT lymphoma is very rare, and treatment outcomes seem to be inferior to those of gastric MALT lymphoma. The study findings showed lower rates of H. pylori infection and lymph node metastasis in patients with duodenal MALT lymphoma compared to gastric MALT lymphoma, as well as lower complete remission rates. Complications such as bleeding, stricture, and transformation to high-grade lymphoma were also more common in duodenal MALT lymphoma patients than in gastric MALT lymphoma patients.

Summary: Marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) with amyloid deposits is an extremely rare cause of breast malignancy. Patients with Sjogren's syndrome (SS) have a 5-10% lifetime risk of developing non-Hodgkin lymphoma, with MALT lymphoma being the most common histologic subtype. Our case emphasizes the importance of regular screening mammography in early detection of such rare malignancies and the need for further interventions to diagnose and manage breast MALT lymphoma appropriately.
