Ni2P and black phosphorus (BP) exhibit their respectively excellent performance in capacitance. Flake material BP is a good phosphorus (P) source candidate for the synthesis of Ni2P, and is also a good carrier that can contribute to the good dispersion of Ni2P particles. Herein, BP flakes were prepared first by wet milling method and Ni2P/BP composites with different reactant mole ratio for nickel (Ni) to P were prepared by a facial solvothermal method. The electrochemical property of milled BP flakes and Ni2P/BP composites were investigated by cyclic voltammetry, charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It was found that the Ni2P/BP composite, with an appropriate reactant mole ratio for Ni to P, had the high capacity of 1215 F/g at the current density of 1 A/g and the remained stable capacity of 590 F/g after 1000 circle at the current density of 2 A/g, exhibiting good capacitance energy storage performance.
