Summary: Quantum secure metrology protocols utilize quantum effects to achieve enhanced precision and security in probing remote systems. This paper proposes a QSM scheme that employs Bell pairs for unconditional security and offers precision scaling beyond the standard quantum limit. The comparative analysis demonstrates the superiority of the controlled encoding strategy over the parallel encoding of multi-partite entangled states in terms of parameter secrecy. Additionally, a trade-off relationship between maximum achievable precision and security under limited resource availability is identified and characterized. The dynamic scalability of the proposed protocol makes it suitable for large-scale network sensing scenarios.

Summary: This article investigates a data-based distributed sensor scheduling algorithm for a wireless sensor network, which allows multiple sensor nodes to monitor different linear systems and transmit measured information over a shared wireless channel. Through the introduction of a distributed minimum subset extraction mechanism, the algorithm provides an approximate solution to minimize the H(infinity) performance index of the closed-loop system without requiring system parameter knowledge. Under sufficiently rich disturbances, the algorithm converges to the exact optimal solution.

Summary: This paper proposes an efficient geocast routing (EGR) approach for highway IoV-traffic environment considering the shadowing fading condition. EGR utilizes a temporal link quality model and geometrical localization to solve the GPS outage problem and selects the next forwarding vehicle from the forward region based on temporal link quality for geocast routing. Simulation results show that EGR outperforms existing approaches in handling wireless communication link breakage and throughput issues in highway traffic environment, as well as ensuring faster message delivery.

Summary: This paper introduces an indoor object tracking method using received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements and wireless sensor network (WSN). The author proposes a range-free radial basis function neural network (RBFN) and Kalman filtering (KF) based algorithm named RBFN+KF to reduce the location estimation errors caused by random variations in RSSI measurements. The simulation results show that the RBFN+KF algorithm achieves lower location estimation errors compared to trilateration, multilayer perceptron (MLP), and RBFN-based estimations. Additionally, it is also observed that the RBFN-based approach is more energy efficient than trilateration and MLP-based localization approaches.
