Summary: This study investigated how caregivers of children with brain tumors use and are affected by social media (SM). The results showed that many caregivers use SM to obtain and share care-related information, while also recognizing both positive and negative impacts on emotional well-being. SM influenced treatment decisions, particularly in cases of poorer prognosis.

Summary: ICIs alter the immune system's response to cancerous tissues but can lead to varying degrees of autoimmunity, with cardiovascular complications such as myocarditis emerging as significant side effects. Understanding the mechanisms underlying these toxicities may help improve patient outcomes by reducing treatment-related morbidity.

Summary: This study investigated the use of word instruction techniques by Saudi EFL teachers and their perceptions of these techniques. The results showed that teachers favored techniques such as providing translations, repetition, and written practice. Less commonly used methods included word mapping, non-textbook materials, and etymology. Teachers relied more on discovery techniques and there were no significant differences in technique use across school levels.

Summary: This article summarizes the current literature on wearable technologies in oncology patients for the purpose of prognostication, treatment monitoring, and rehabilitation planning. The findings suggest that wearable devices can provide valuable data for treatment monitoring, prognostication, and rehabilitation. Future studies should focus on real-time monitoring and its impact on directed interventions.

Summary: The fundamental pathophysiology of malignancies involves dysregulation of signaling pathways, with abnormal expression of protein tyrosine kinases playing a significant role in various cancers. The successful use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors has demonstrated the benefits of targeted therapy in oncology.

Summary: Drug resistance is a major problem in cancer treatment, and cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) shows promise in overcoming it. CAP uses ionized gas to generate reactive species that can kill cancer cells. This review explores the mechanisms behind CAP's effectiveness and its potential applications in cancer treatment. Further research is needed to address the challenges and opportunities in this field.

Summary: This study investigates the curing process of Sikadur (R)-30 adhesive used in civil infrastructure applications. A time-temperature-transformation cure diagram was developed, and rheological data and calorimetry tests were used to estimate time for gelation and vitrification. The glass transition temperatures were determined, and reaction kinetic simulations were carried out and validated with experimental data. This research provides important information for designers to better design advanced composite bonded joints.

Summary: The study found that over 25% of spouses of cancer survivors utilized mental health care. Spouses were less likely to use mental health care when the cancer survivor had more health conditions or elevated depressed mood. Spouses were nearly 3 times more likely to use mental health care if the cancer survivor themselves had used mental health care.

Summary: Cure models are useful for analyzing time-to-event data in medical research, estimating the proportion of cured individuals and the event-time distribution of those who are not cured. The R packages cuRe and rstpm2 provide researchers with tools for performing statistical inference using parametric cure models, offering flexibility in fitting different types of cure models.

Summary: This study aims to fill the gaps in the evidence base of tumour classification in the field of cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. By using the evidence gap map (EGM) methodology, the study will analyze the cited research in the WHO Classification of Tumours (WCT) and develop a visual evidence map to provide a summary of the existing evidence. The findings will be published and used to guide future research planning and decision-making, especially for the development of future editions of the WCT.
