Optically active luminophores capable of emitting circularly polarized light (CPL) are keys in many photonic communication systems. Herein, we report a new cryptochiral CPL-functioned molecular system composed of a C-2-symmetric 5,5',6,6',7,7',8,8'-octahydro-1,1'-bi-2-naphthyl rotamer bearing two flexible linkers attached to two pyrene rings as emitters. Despite exhibiting negligibly weak circular-dichroism (CD) signals in the ground state, the luminophore displayed a clear CPL signal in the photoexcited state.
