Summary: A new SBM efficiency model has been developed in this research, which shows higher efficiency compared to the traditional SBM model. It can help inefficient DMUs to become efficient more easily. Additionally, the model can detect divisions that cause unsatisfactory system performance and improve the overall system efficiency through enhancements in these divisions.

Summary: This study proposes a set of models to measure the maximum SBM efficiency for DMUs with multi-period data, finding that when non-Archimedean number is not effective, the maximum SBM efficiency is greater than or equal to radial efficiency, which is more reliable and can detect the factors and years causing unsatisfactory performance.

Summary: This study examines the bank production process with nonperforming loans in Japanese banking. The research finds significant inefficiencies in Japanese banking, mainly attributed to the hard-to-achieve targets set by the standard directional slack inefficiency model. The proposed minimum distance directional slack inefficiency estimator provides practical targets for bank managers. The empirical evidence suggests that high investment and strategic efficiency are key factors behind Japanese banks' performance.

Summary: This study examines the technical efficiency of Dutch indoor vegetable farms during the period of 2006-2016 using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and bootstrap truncated regression model. The results show that technical inefficiency exists in energy, materials, pesticides, and fertilizers inputs among indoor growers, and enhancing farmers' ability to reduce this inefficiency can improve farm competitiveness and mitigate environmental impacts.

Summary: This study proposed a dynamic two-stage slacks-based measure model to evaluate the operational performance of China's regional state-level technology business incubating service systems during 2013-2017. Results showed that neglecting the dynamic effect may lead to underestimation of efficiency, with lower incubation efficiency being the main reason for inefficiency in the Chinese system. Additionally, significant geographic disparities in efficiencies among regions were observed.

Summary: In this study, a dynamic two-stage slacks-based measure model was proposed to assess the operational performance of China's regional state-level technology business incubating service systems. It was found that the relatively lower incubation efficiency is the main reason for the inefficiency of the Chinese technology business incubating service system, with significant geographic disparities in efficiencies among regions. Factors influencing the efficiencies include human capital, government support, technology progress, and foreign direct investment.

Summary: This paper presents a literature review on network models in data envelopment analysis (DEA) with a focus on the slack-based network model called slacks-based measure-network data envelopment analysis (SBM-NDEA). A total of 97 publications from 2009 to 2021 were identified in an international database search. The publications were subjected to descriptive analysis, mapping the evolution of the literature, organizing articles into categories, and identifying the main methodological references for the models and applications used. The most frequently used models and their characteristics, as well as the analysis of applications, were described. Sectors and countries with the highest number of applications were also identified. The review indicates an increasing number of network studies using the SBM-NDEA in recent years. Finally, future research directions in SBM-NDEA are suggested.

Summary: This study estimates the eco-efficiency, shadow price, and marginal abatement costs of dairy farms in Lithuania. The results show that the average eco-efficiency remained stable, and the GHG emission reduction potential was between 20% and 25%. The shadow price increased over time, and the marginal abatement costs varied. The findings suggest that policy actions should target the farms with the highest GHG emissions, and there is a need for improvement in land use, capital utilization, and feed utilization.

Summary: Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a multi-criteria technique based on linear programming, with the SBM model used to assess the relative efficiencies of decision-making units by considering input and output slacks. To handle qualitative or uncertain data, a fuzzy SBM DEA model is utilized, and a credibility measure approach is used to transform the fuzzy model into a crisp linear programming model at different credibility levels. The results from the fuzzy DEA model are more realistic compared to conventional DEA model, and Indian oil refineries' data is collected to illustrate the efficiency behavior of companies.

Summary: The study assesses the technical efficiency of container ports in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea from 2017 to 2019. A non-monotonic inefficiency effects model is used to reveal non-monotonic relationships and observation-specific marginal effects. The findings suggest that increasing physical size has non-monotonic effects on efficiency, while increasing connectivity has monotonic positive effects. Decision-makers should prioritize decisions focused on higher connectivity to improve container port performance.

Summary: This study aims to evaluate the influencing factors of coal consumption inefficiency in China's energy intensive industries. The empirical findings indicate that the energy structure, industrial structure, and scale of enterprises are the driving elements of coal consumption inefficiency. Additionally, technological progress and the degree of openness contribute to a decrease in coal use inefficiency.

Summary: Performance evaluation is crucial for managing and allocating resources in higher education institutions (HEIs) and guiding their development. However, the issue of academic misconduct (AM) as an undesirable output in research assessments is often overlooked. This study proposes incorporating AM into the evaluation system and finds that it plays an increasingly prominent role in research efficiency evaluation of HEIs.
