Summary: A simple engineering strategy is proposed to construct heat shock proteins 70 (HSP70) highly expressed extracellular vesicles (EVs) encapsulated with Te nanoparticles (Te@EVs(HSP70)) for tumor photothermal therapy triggering improved immunotherapy. The engineered EVs exhibit excellent photothermal performance and enhanced tumor antigen capture capability, inducing significant immunogenic death of tumor cells and improving dendritic cells (DCs) maturation in vitro and in vivo. This work provides a facile method to fabricate multifunctional EVs-based drug delivery system for improving photothermal-triggered tumor immunotherapy.

Summary: The use of immunotherapies for brain tumors has generated excitement, but challenges remain in treating GBM due to its immunologically cold nature. Strategies such as vaccine therapy combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors are being explored to overcome these challenges and enhance treatment options for patients with GBM in the future.

Summary: The loss of endothelial cells and the accumulation of monocytes/macrophages in the arteries are related to mechanical stimuli, such as shear stress. The study found that shear stress increased the expression of inflammatory chemokine CCL2 and the migration of monocytic cells. The surface levels of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), HSP90, and HSP105 were also increased in response to shear stress, suggesting an association between HSPs and inflammatory responses. The regulation of these HSPs on the surface of monocytes/macrophages may serve as a potential therapeutic target for inflammation caused by shear stress.

Summary: Infection with SARS-CoV-2 leads to the pandemic disease COVID-19, but effective vaccines such as mRNA and viral vector vaccines have been developed to control the spread. These vaccines can induce immune-related side effects like allergic reactions and thrombosis events, especially in rare cases.

Summary: Plant-expressed HSP90 protein acts as a potent adjuvant to improve immune effects of Toxoplasma gondii antigen SAG1. Fusion protein AtHsp81.2-SAG1(HC) showed significant enhancement in antibody levels and reduced parasite load in mice compared to control groups. Plant-expressed AtHsp81.2-SAG1(HC) can directly be used as a potent biotechnological system for immunogenic antigen expression against toxoplasmosis.

Summary: Neoantigens are tumor-specific antigens that can elicit a specific immune response. They have potential for the development of personalized cancer vaccines. The presentation of neoantigens to T cells is influenced by vaccine delivery strategies, including the use of specific linkers. The efficiency of neoantigen processing and presentation by MHC-I molecules can be improved with alanine-based linkers.

Summary: The study found that mice undergoing repeated exertional heat injuries within a week of an initial heat injury appear to have protective adaptations. During the second exertional heat injury, mice were able to run longer and sustain higher body temperatures before collapse. However, despite this increased resilience to heat, the mice undergoing a second exertional heat injury showed lower levels of corticosterone, FABP2, MIP-1b, MIP-2, and IP-10, indicating potential adaptive processes providing acute heat resilience to subsequent conditions.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of damage caused by excess Mn in chicken livers and found that Mn exposure led to inflammatory injury via NF-kappa B pathway. Additionally, Mn exposure induced oxidative stress and up-regulated HSPs expression, which mediated inflammatory damage. Time- and dose-dependent effects were observed on Mn-induced chicken liver inflammatory injury.

Summary: This study provides a detailed molecular bioinformatic analysis of heat shock proteins (HSPs) in the human parasitic blood fluke Schistosoma mansoni. The results reveal the classification, expression patterns, protein interactions, and phosphorylation sites of HSPs in different stages of the parasite's life cycle. The findings suggest that HSPs play important roles in parasite survival and development, and offer insights for future investigations and therapeutics development against schistosomiasis.

Summary: This article describes the transcriptional regulation mechanism of the Hsp18 protein in Mycobacterium leprae. The study found that the upstream 168-base pair sequence of Hsp18 can act as a promoter, and the expression is regulated by host, environmental stress, and temperature. Comparative sequence analysis also revealed a putative binding site for the sigma factor C (SigC) that may be involved in the regulation of Hsp18 expression during stress conditions in M. leprae.
