Summary: This study investigates the determinants of high breastfeeding self-efficacy among Saudi nursing mothers. The results show that mothers' education, working status, parity, breastfeeding experience, adequate breastfeeding knowledge, and positive attitudes toward breastfeeding can predict breastfeeding self-efficacy. Considering these factors during breastfeeding-related educational interventions can lead to more effective and sustainable effects in community awareness regarding breastfeeding.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the attitude and perception levels of parents towards COVID-19 vaccines for children in the Aseer region of Saudi Arabia. The results showed that a significant percentage of parents believed that COVID-19 vaccines may be more dangerous for children than adults. However, there were also parents who had no concerns about children's vaccination. A considerable number of children had not received the vaccine, and some parents expressed hesitations towards vaccination. Nevertheless, there were also parents who strongly agreed on the importance of vaccinating children to prevent the disease. Therefore, health professionals and policymakers should implement strategies to ensure children are vaccinated and educate parents and families about childhood vaccination.

Summary: This study assessed the levels of trihalomethane in the main chlorinated treated drinking water sources in the Aseer region over four seasons. The results showed that the concentration of total trihalomethane exceeded the permissible limit in conventional filtration treatment plants, especially during the summer season. The study also found a positive correlation between trihalomethane formation and the presence of certain precursors, such as organic carbon, turbidity, bromide ion, and free chlorine, while pH values had a negative correlation.

Summary: Maternal asthma is a consistent risk factor for asthma in children, potentially impacting diverse epigenetically mediated pathways leading to distinct subtypes of severe asthma in adults, including hard-to-treat T2-low asthma. Analysis shows differences in DNA methylation patterns between mothers with and without asthma in genes related to impaired T cell signaling and response to pathogens. These findings may have implications for understanding and treating different subtypes of asthma.
