Summary: The study formulated a recognition solution for cyanide detection and developed chromogenic test-strips, with a detection limit of 0.27 ppm for the method and 1 ppm for the test-strips. The spectrophotometric method detected cyanide contamination of 0.77 ppm, 2.56 ppm and 2.71 ppm in samples from canal, tannery and textile industry effluents, respectively. The developed method and test-strips are selective for cyanide and unaffected by interferents like Cl-, Br-, I-, HCO-, PO3-, SO2- and AcO-.

Summary: In this study, we introduce a new approach to blood-based diagnostics that allows for rapid drying of large blood volumes and access to target nucleic acid through physical networks. We demonstrate single-molecule sensitivity and detect a broad spectrum of pathogens using loop-mediated isothermal amplification. Validation with clinical samples shows high sensitivity and specificity, along with a significant reduction in sample-to-result time.

Summary: The study demonstrates the rapid and sensitive electrochemical detection of doxorubicin using electrochemically pretreated glassy carbon electrodes modified with vertically-ordered mesoporous silica films. The sensor showed ultra-high sensitivity, low limit of detection, wide linear range, and the ability for direct and reliable detection of doxorubicin in human whole blood without complex sample pretreatments, thanks to the excellent anti-fouling and anti-interference properties of the VMSF.

Summary: A simple and sensitive method was developed for the determination of cyclamate in beverage samples using chemical vapor generation and miniature point discharge optical emission spectrometry (μPD-OES). The method simplified the separation process, improved sensitivity, alleviated matrix interference, and eliminated the need for bulky and expensive instruments. The detection limit of 0.1 mg L-1 was comparable to or better than most reported methods. The method showed great potential for field analysis of cyclamate in food safety supervision.
