The meeting resulted in 12 consensus statements and 29 research recommendations, highlighting the need to include data from diverse socioeconomic groups, broaden the definition of AKI, integrate the biological pathophysiology of child growth and development, and engage with families and communities in AKI advocacy.

Summary: Primary hyperoxaluria (PH) is an inherited disorder that causes overproduction of oxalate, resulting in kidney stones, nephrocalcinosis, and kidney failure. Diagnosis and management of PH are challenging due to its rarity and variable clinical expression. However, recent developments in outcome data and therapies, including RNA interference, have led to the need for updated guidelines on PH. A consensus group formulated and graded practical statements on the diagnosis and management of PH based on existing evidence.
