Summary: Sb2Te3 is a key material in phase-change memory devices and also exhibits topological insulator properties. By studying relaxation processes in thin Sb2Te3 films, it was found that both amorphous and crystalline phases contain two types of relaxators, with one type showing lower relaxation temperature in the amorphous phase. The differences in relaxation mechanisms between the two phases provide insights into the 3D-2D transformation during crystallization of van der Waals solids.

Summary: About 1/3rd of produced food goes to waste, and advanced packaging concepts need to be developed to address this issue. This study investigates the antioxidant activity of chitin nanocrystals (ChNC) as active components in polylactic acid (PLA) films. The results show that ChNC can enhance the antioxidant activity of the films, suggesting the possibility of creating biodegradable plastics with additional functionality.

Summary: A composite of polymer blends, consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and poly(lactic acid) (PLA), was fabricated with the addition of BaTiO3-SiC particles. BaTiO3 was used to improve the dielectric properties of the composite, while SiC enhanced the thermal conductivity. Surface modifications of BaTiO3 and SiC particles were conducted to improve their compatibility with the polymer matrix. The resulting composites showed improved thermal stability and enhanced thermal conductivity.

Summary: In this study, the PLA/EVA-g-GMA/EVA/CNTs composites were prepared by melt-blended method, and the effects of CNTs on the interfacial morphological evolution and dielectric properties of the composites were investigated. The results showed that the introduction of CNTs slightly decreased the mechanical properties of the materials, but significantly improved the dielectric properties and thermal stability of the composites.
