Summary: In The Gambia study site, viral pneumonia, especially respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), was the predominant cause overall, but bacterial pneumonia dominated the most severe cases. The majority of participants were vaccinated against Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Summary: This study examined the correlation between grandparents serving as caregivers and drug overdose mortality in the Appalachian and non-Appalachian regions of the United States. The findings revealed that as the overdose mortality rate increased, the percentage of grandparents as caregivers also increased. However, after adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics, the difference between Appalachian and non-Appalachian counties was no longer significant.

Dentists' lack of communication with Black men about OPCs due to their own discomfort hinders Black men's knowledge, screening, and treatment uptake. This paper describes a research project that proposes an initiative to adapt a culturally-specific OPC communication tool using a mixed-methods approach.
