Summary: In this study, a novel approach was developed to target VEGF secretion in GBM cells using a VEGF nanotrapper, improving the effectiveness of bevacizumab-based therapy. The study demonstrated the therapeutic efficacy of this nanocargo in reducing vascularization and tumor cell mass of GBM in vitro and in vivo cancer models.

Summary: The human endometrium undergoes unique repair and regeneration processes during a woman's reproductive life, making it an excellent model for study. Endometrial stem/progenitor cells play a crucial role in regeneration, along with the stem cell niche and stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles. Endometrial epithelial organoids are valuable in expanding our understanding of endometrial development and regeneration, as well as potential therapeutic applications.

Summary: Pregnancy induces changes in the transcriptome of the bovine endometrium, but cows with postpartum bacterial infection of the uterus have lower chances of pregnancy even after the disease is resolved. Uterine bacterial infection alters the endometrial transcriptomic signature of pregnancy after the resolution of disease.

Summary: This study explored the potential function of METTL5 in UCEC and verified the relationship between deficient DNA mismatch repair and METTL5. The results showed that METTL5 expression was increased in UCEC tumor tissue and UCEC patients with high METTL5 expression had worse prognostic outcomes. Knocking down METTL5 weakened UCEC proliferation, increased apoptosis, and influenced the development and prognosis of UCEC through regulating MMR protein levels.

Summary: The combination of VEGF and Schwann cells in peripheral nerve repair shows promising results in promoting nerve regeneration. The HSPS conduits loaded with VEGF-A overexpressing Schwann cells demonstrate high durability and efficiency in repairing nerve tissue, making them a potential new avenue for nerve tissue engineering.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the effects of postoperative hormone therapy on recurrence in patients with uterine LG-ESS. The results showed that hormone therapy reduced recurrence in patients with stage II-IV uterine LG-ESS without fertility-sparing, and high-dose progestins treatment within 12 months is recommended. Bilateral oophorectomy can also reduce the risk of recurrence. Patients with fertility-sparing have a high risk of recurrence and poor pregnancy outcomes, and hormone therapy may be a reasonable choice in postoperative management.

Summary: The absence of a putative EPS-related protein, KpsM, has a pleiotropic effect on the physiological functions of cyanobacteria, impacting the export of EPS and carbon fluxes. The mutant strain with disrupted EPS secretion exhibits transcriptomic and proteomic adjustments, highlighting the importance of EPS as a major carbon sink in cyanobacteria. Additionally, the accumulation of polyhydroxybutyrate in the mutant cells suggests its potential use as a chassis for the production of compounds of interest.

Summary: The study evaluated temporal changes in endometrial blood flow after LM, finding that recovery was negatively correlated with patient age. The results suggest that endometrial blood flow may play a role in wound healing after myomectomy. Individualized wound healing strategies after myomectomy may be needed based on endometrial blood flow measurements.

Summary: This study identified DDR-related lncRNAs (DRLs) in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC) and developed a prognostic signature that can guide clinical treatment. The high-risk group showed upregulated DDR-related pathways, low immune activity, poor response to immune checkpoint blockade, and weak sensitivity to chemotherapeutic agents. AC019069.1 was shown to promote cell proliferation, decrease apoptosis, and maintain genome stability in UCEC cells.

Summary: This study demonstrated that sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSLF) is an effective surgical method for pelvic reconstruction using native tissue. Compared to concomitant hysterectomy, SSLF with uterine preservation reduces the anatomical recurrence rate, with shorter operation times and lower recurrence rates.

Summary: The TCA cycle serves as the main source of cellular energy and its dysfunction related to human diseases, such as neurometabolic disorders and tumors, has attracted increasing interest. The distinct diseases resulting from loss or dysfunction of TCA cycle-related enzymes suggest each enzyme has a unique function. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the relationship between each TCA cycle-related enzyme and human diseases.

Summary: In both men and women, pathogenic bacteria can enter the reproductive tract and cause harmful symptoms. Even in the absence of the majority of seminal proteins, antibacterial activity remains in the seminal plasma. Prostate and testis express a novel antibacterial protein, the sequence of which is broadly conserved across mammals.
