Summary: This study explored the relationship between social support, self-efficacy, and anxiety and depression. The results showed that anxiety and depression were negatively correlated with self-efficacy and social support, while self-efficacy and social support were positively correlated. Self-efficacy fully mediated the effect between social support and negative emotions. The study suggests that social support and self-efficacy contribute to the improvement of depression and anxiety in patients with radical prostatectomy.

Summary: This study investigates how endorsing the ideology found in cultures of honor may hinder men from seeking out prostate cancer screenings. Findings suggest that older, honor-endorsing men are less likely to have ever sought out a prostate cancer screening due to screening stigma, and regions with an honor-oriented culture have higher rates of prostate cancer death.

Summary: The study found that as nursing undergraduate students' empathic skills increased, their negative perception of cancer decreased. Additionally, students receiving treatment for chronic diseases were more likely to have a negative perception of cancer. Training on empathic skills could help reduce negative attitudes towards cancer among nursing students.

Summary: Patients with depression tend to report more symptoms to their GP, including a combination of physical and mental symptoms. Some patients may only report physical symptoms to their GP out of fear of stigma. Perceived depression stigma is associated with male gender and a lack of pharmacological treatment in patients with depression.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess self-reported sleep disturbance and identify factors influencing sleep disturbance in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The results showed that sleep disturbance was positively correlated with age, pain, disease activity, depression and anxiety, and stigma, while self-efficacy was negatively correlated with sleep disturbance. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that depression, anxiety, self-efficacy, and stigma explained 77.4% of sleep quality variance.

Summary: The research found that high levels of F. nucleatum are associated with improved therapeutic responses to PD-1 blockade in patients with CRC, and F. nucleatum also enhances the antitumor effects of PD-L1 blockade on CRC. Furthermore, F. nucleatum induces PD-L1 expression and increases the accumulation of interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma)(+) CD8(+) tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes.

Summary: Immunotherapy has become a viable option in cancer treatment, with various forms of immunotherapies being developed. Clinical trials are investigating monotherapies or combination treatments involving immune checkpoint inhibitors, adoptive cellular therapy, and other medications. Research suggests that immunotherapy should progress by incorporating patient-tailored treatments, immune checkpoint blockers, and other immunotherapies, as well as hormone therapy, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, to enhance therapeutic effects.
