Summary: Wildlife farming is a trade practice aimed at meeting global demand for wildlife products. However, it raises concerns about animal welfare, public health, and biodiversity conservation. A study found at least 487 farmed wildlife species, with 34% considered threatened and 62% listed under CITES. Commercial breeding operations exist in 90 countries worldwide, suggesting the actual number of farmed wildlife is likely higher than reported.

Summary: In the past six years, there has been unprecedented global attention on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), resulting in increased discussions at various multinational organizations and international forums. This study analyzes the commitments made by the global community regarding AMR following the implementation of the AMR Tripartite's Global Action Plan (GAP) in 2015. The analysis reveals emergent themes and gaps in the discourse on AMR, highlighting a lack of concrete and nuanced pledges to action between 2015 and 2021. The study also found a limited commitment to specific actions on AMR in the environment.

Summary: The development of treatment biomarkers for psychiatric disorders, particularly for heterogeneous neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, is challenging. However, available neuroimaging, electrophysiological, and genetic literature provides a solid foundation for biomarker discovery. Pre-treatment profiles that predict the efficacy of various treatments for ADHD show promise, particularly those based on low-cost and non-invasive EEG assessments. Studies also suggest that different treatments produce distinct changes in brain profiles, which correlate with treatment-related clinical improvements. These candidate monitoring/response biomarkers may help monitor treatment effects and identify targets for novel treatments.

Summary: Scholars have produced a wide variety of organizational improvisation (OI) scholarship over the past 25 years, but due to its complexity and heterogeneous approaches used to study it, OI remains challenging to grasp. A review of literature on OI highlights specific theoretical and empirical gaps across different phases of the OI process, including the origination and content of initial improvisational actions, conceptual ambiguity regarding the prevalence of OI, and the confounding of causal factors impacting post-OI outcomes.

Summary: This essay traces the evolution from an organisation-centric view (OSI 1.0) to a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral perspective (OSI 2.0) in open social innovation. It highlights the need for concerted efforts from diverse stakeholders to address wicked and complex social and ecological problems. The essay specifies design dimensions for effective collaboration and coordination in OSI 2.0 and outlines key areas for future research.

Summary: Auctions for renewable energy projects have gained significant attention and are rapidly expanding. This article provides a systematic review of the literature on auctions for renewable energy and proposes future research directions. The need for more research on institutional capacity, coordination with other procedures, and the inclusion of auctions in policy mixes is emphasized. Rigorous analysis of trade-offs between different criteria, exploration of underbidding, and evaluation of auction design are identified as key areas for future study.

Summary: Most businesses rely on biodiversity either directly or indirectly through ecosystem services or supply chains. Negatively impacting biodiversity can lead to the loss of essential resources and services. This paper reviews and compares tools and approaches for measuring business performance on biodiversity issues, assessing their construction, measurement methods, usage, and contribution to international biodiversity targets. These tools are mainly applied at the product, site, and supply chain levels, and efforts are needed to align them with global biodiversity goals. There are knowledge gaps in capturing dependence on biodiversity and spatial spillover effects.

Summary: This paper conducts a systematic review of the literature (SRL) to update the relevance of social perception (SP) for managing protected areas. The results indicate that household income and education are linked to behaviors favoring conservation, while dissatisfaction regarding social well-being, access to natural resources and management generate behaviors that negatively affect the perception of the conservation role of protected areas.
