Summary: A core set for knee dysfunction was proposed, offering a system for disability assessment related to knee dysfunction across all levels of health care. The study identified categories that best explain knee dysfunction and emphasized the importance of including environmental and social factors in assessing functionality. Further analysis of the validity of the core set is necessary.

Summary: Multidimensional assessments are crucial for evaluating the overall health of older adults. The comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) is widely used but can be burdensome, leading to the development of simplified tools. Comparing these tools to the CGA is challenging due to its conceptual nature.

Summary: This study reviewed 34 studies and classified the applications of ICF in dementia into four themes: (1) clinical practice and education of health professionals; (2) community support services and income support; (3) population-based, census, or survey data; (4) advocacy and empowerment purposes. The findings suggest that ICF has had a significant impact on dementia in clinical settings and supports the use of ICF in person-centered dementia care. More empirical studies are needed in the future to expand the use of ICF in dementia research and practice.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between variability in body mass index (BMI) and declines in physical functioning and incident disability among older adults. The results showed that participants with higher BMI variability were more likely to experience weight and fat loss, declines in physical performance, and had higher rates of incident disability, independent of net BMI change.
