Summary: The study investigates the quantum motion of an impurity atom in a Bose-Einstein condensate in arbitrary dimensions, showing superdiffusive behavior, dimension-dependent average energy, and non-Markovianity of particle motion. Trapped impurity atoms exhibit stronger position squeezing in lower dimensions.

Summary: This paper theoretically studies the tunneling time of a wave packet of Bose-condensed atoms passing through a square barrier. The authors find that the tunneling time shows different scaling laws in different energy regimes. For negative incident energy, the tunneling time decreases rapidly with decreasing incident velocity. In contrast, for positive incident energy smaller than the barrier height, the tunneling time increases slowly and then reaches a maximum, consistent with experimental results from Larmor clock experiments. The effect of barrier width on the maximum tunneling time, related to the uncertainty principle, is also discussed.

Summary: This paper investigates the properties and motion of vector solitons in Bose-Einstein condensates, exploring the nonintegrable cases of spin soliton solutions and their stability. The results show that these spin solitons are robust against spin-dependent interactions and noise, exhibiting features such as negative-positive mass transition, splitting, diffusion, and collisions.

Summary: Quantum turbulence is characterized by disorder in both space and time, with interactions between many degrees of freedom. This study explores the decaying regime of quantum turbulence in a trapped Bose-Einstein condensate using a characteristic length scale and reconstructing momentum distributions. The characteristic length allows for an intuitive visualization of the time evolution of the turbulent state.

Summary: We present a magnetic sensor with extremely high energy resolution, applied in the detection of Rb-87 single-domain spinor Bose-Einstein condensates. By utilizing nondestructive Faraday rotation probing, we have achieved a low-frequency magnetic sensitivity of 72(8) fT, and measured the volume, spin coherence time, and readout noise of the condensate experimentally.

Summary: This study focuses on decoherence and recurrences in the dynamics of the one-body density matrix of an F=1 spinor Bose-Einstein condensate, revealing accurate analytical expressions for the time dependence of coherent states. The research also uncovers the relationship between decoherence and recurrence times with the number of atoms and strength parameters, showing significant differences based on the strength of spin-spin interactions.

Summary: This paper explores the potential of a spin-orbit-coupled Bose-Einstein condensate in thermodynamic cycles by proposing a quantum heat engine using the condensate as a working medium. The cooling and heating processes are simulated through the contacts between the condensate and external magnetized and demagnetized media. The efficiency of the proposed engine is then studied, with the existence of a critical value of spin-orbit coupling that is related to the engine's maximum efficiency.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the steady-state multi-stability of a cavity system containing spin-orbit coupled Bose-Einstein condensate. We show that the cavity photon number and atomic population exhibit multi-stable behavior, which can be tuned with system parameters. Additionally, we find the occurrence of population transitional phase for the atomic states, which can be controlled by spin-orbit coupling and Zeeman field effects.

Summary: We analytically investigate the effects of spin-orbit coupling (SOC) on soliton collisions in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs). By using the non-standard Hirota's bilinear method, we derive exact soliton solutions for a 1D spin-orbit coupled spin-1 BEC, revealing how SOC can manipulate the dynamics of solitons in spinor BECs. We discuss in detail the soliton collisions of different types under SOC, including ferromagnetic-polar, ferromagnetic-ferromagnetic, and polar-polar collisions. Comparisons between systems with and without SOC show a remarkable phenomenon: SOC can cause the splitting of a soliton.

Summary: This study explores the dynamics of internal dynamical counter-pressure in three-dimensional Bose-Einstein condensates of cold atoms, finding that three-body interactions may lead to an internal pressure and repulsive potential in the condensate, which can affect the evolution of the entire condensate, including inhibiting collapse and causing explosions.

Summary: The study investigates the theoretical use of quantum nondemolition measurement to enhance the sensitivity of atom interferometry with Bose-condensed atoms. By finding the optimal parameter regime balancing spin squeezing and atomic loss, significant improvements in sensitivity are possible. Additionally, the use of squeezed light is considered to provide further boosts to sensitivity.
