Reactions of the monomeric beta-diketiminate zinc complex MesNacNacZnMe (MesNacNac = {[2,6-(2,4,6-Me(3)-C(6)H(2))-N(Me)C)](2)CH}) with ROH (R = Me, Et, iPr) yielded the corresponding zinc alkoxides [MesNacNacZnOR](2) (R = Me 1. Et 2, iPr 3). In addition, the reaction of MesNacNacZnCl with various reducing agents such as potassium graphite, potassium, or sodium gave the Zn(II) complex [MesNacNac](2)Zn 4. Compounds 1-4 were characterized by elemental analyses, mass and multinuclear ((1)H, (13)C{(1)H}) NMR spectroscopy, and by single-crystal X-ray analysis.
