Summary: The study aimed to investigate the feasibility and correlation of liver stiffness measurements using 2D-shear wave elastography and transient elastography in patients with chronic liver disease. The results showed a strong correlation between the two methods, but differences in feasibility were observed in obese patients.

Summary: The FAST score using both VCTE and US-elastography showed similar diagnostic accuracy in identifying advanced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. Cut-off values of <= 0.35 and >= 0.67 had high sensitivity and specificity for ruling out and diagnosing the condition, respectively. Overall, the FAST score demonstrated good reproducibility across different echo equipment and probes.

Summary: This study compared liver stiffness measurements between ElastPQ and F-TE in patients with NAFLD, showing excellent correlation between the two techniques, especially for lower LSM. ElastPQ demonstrated similar diagnostic accuracy to F-TE in staging liver fibrosis in patients with available liver histology.

Summary: This study presents a novel MR shear wave elastography technique that combines transient acoustic radiation force impulses with sinusoidal-shaped MR displacement encoding. An analytic expression for calculating shear wave speed in a heterogeneous medium was derived, and the feasibility of using this technique was confirmed experimentally. The study demonstrated the accuracy of the method in measuring shear wave speed values in different mediums, showing potential applications in clinical settings.

Summary: The study highlighted that ViTE demonstrates good stability and high consistency in diagnosing liver fibrosis, comparable to SWE and STE. Combining ViTE and STE can enhance the specificity of disease diagnosis without adding extra cost, potentially improving cost effectiveness.

Summary: This study evaluated the agreement and accuracy of point shear-wave elastography (p-SWE) and 2D shear-wave elastography (2D-SWE) for liver fibrosis staging. The results showed satisfactory correlation between p-SWE and 2D-SWE with transient elastography (TE). p-SWE seemed to be more accurate than 2D-SWE in identifying patients with more advanced fibrosis.

Summary: The study demonstrates that liver and spleen 2D-SWE are reliable complementary methods for diagnosing advanced fibrosis in patients with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). Spleen 2D-SWE appears to be less influenced by inflammation and could aid in fibrosis assessment in therapy-naive patients or those with active hepatitis.

Summary: This study evaluates the performance of a recently introduced commercial alternative of ultrasound elastography (USE) called Visual Transient Elastography (ViTE) for the diagnosis of chronic liver disease (CLD). The results show that ViTE performs comparably to established USE methods in staging CLD.

Summary: Changes in tissue stiffness can be identified earlier than clinical features, and elastography techniques provide valuable noninvasive measurement of mechanical properties. Ultrasound elastography plays a critical role in obstetrics and gynecology, especially for uterine tumor diagnosis, preterm birth prediction, and intrauterine insemination.

Summary: This study evaluated the usefulness of two different types of 2-dimensional shear wave elastography (2D-SWE) for predicting liver fibrosis stages compared to transient elastography (TE), and found that 2D-SWE with LOGIQ S8 and E9 are useful non-invasive tools for predicting significant fibrosis and liver cirrhosis, showing similar diagnostic abilities to TE.

Summary: USe, TE and MRe have good discriminatory ability for assessing advanced liver fibrosis in pediatric liver disease, with TE and MRe performing best. For most children, TE is a reliable and easily applicable measure.
