Summary: This study analyzes the household vehicle miles traveled (VMT) of Plug-in Electric Vehicles (PEVs) in California, finding that factors such as population density, built environment, attitudes, electric driving range, and infrastructure access influence PEV VMT. A lower electricity price at home may lead to a higher share of PEV VMT in total household VMT, but without rebound effect observed. The study suggests that the factors influencing PEV VMT are similar to those observed for conventional gasoline vehicles.

Summary: This paper focuses on the flexibility assessment and optimal dispatch of commuter PEVs within a microgrid system. A virtual microgrid system was established including residential buildings, an office, distributed generation, and commuter PEVs, and a generic framework was proposed to quantify the flexibility potential of PEVs along with several indicators to identify the flexibility characteristics. A mixed-integer linear programming model was developed to schedule the charging and discharging processes of PEVs and calculate the flexibility indicators.

Summary: This study proposes a cost allocation strategy based on the Aumann-Shapley value method and Gauss-Legendre quadrature formula to rationally distribute benefits among multiple agents. It also introduces a blockchain framework with Proof of Solution consensus mechanism to ensure trust among the agents. Numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in benefit allocation and verify the validity of the blockchain framework in preventing malicious behavior during CHPD.

Summary: This study investigates the cost allocation of cooperative autonomous truck (AT) platooning among carriers. The goal is to find a cost allocation such that the violation of efficiency and stability conditions is minimized. A cooperative AT platooning problem is proposed, and cost allocation models are formulated. An exact row-generation solution method is developed to computationally calculate the cost allocation, and extensive numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the solution methods.

Summary: The article proposes a consecutive horizon-based energy management (CHEM) process for the optimal techno-economic operation of fast-charging stations (FCSs), integrating central supervisory control and distributed control for energy management and power control in order to maintain grid codes. Additionally, with the use of battery energy storage systems (ESS) and a new Volt/VAr control method, FCSs can autonomously handle PEV charging fluctuations and limit voltage deviations, ultimately reducing costs and ensuring convenience for PEV owners.

Summary: Individual hydrogen-based mobility with fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) is a promising avenue for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. As FCEVs become more popular and government funding increases, investments in hydrogen refueling stations are gaining attractiveness for fuel station providers. However, careful location selection becomes crucial for providers due to uncertainty around adoption rates and emerging competition between station providers.

Summary: In this paper, a novel approach using stochastic evolutionary game is proposed to analyze the decision-making of customers in the less-than-truckload (LTL) delivery service. Inter-related optimization and game models are presented to analyze vehicle routing optimization for LTL carriers and carrier selection for customers. The stochastic evolutionary game model incorporates irrationality-induced small perturbation in customers' decision-making. The solution of the game is characterized using the Markov chain model to determine the stochastically stable states. Numerical results show the impact of carriers' and customers' parameters on stable states.

Summary: The carbon quota management system is an effective mechanism for promoting the sustainable development of the automotive industry. However, challenges regarding the total amount and allocation mechanism of carbon quotas have hindered the implementation of carbon quota policies in the industry. This study addresses these challenges by utilizing prediction models and proposing a modeling framework for carbon quota allocation based on repeated game theory. The results demonstrate a balance between equity and efficiency in the allocation process, benefiting both the government and enterprises. This study provides valuable insights for the design of carbon quota management systems in the automotive industry.

Summary: This study proposes a vehicle routing problem (VRP) model suitable for modular integrated construction (MiC) and investigates the interdependence between the resource allocation problem (RAP) and the proposed VRP model. A blockchain system is also developed to secure information sharing. The study develops a coordinated system model using a nested ant colony optimization-based algorithm and validates its effectiveness through a real case study. The results demonstrate that the model provides applicable plans for both construction sites and logistics companies.
