However, the evidence suggests that those who have previously benefited more from medical breakthroughs are less likely to be enrolled in present trials, leading to persistent underrepresentation.

Traditional Chinese medicine-trained acupuncturists often need to set aside traditional care principles when participating in research, which can lead to mixed feelings. This article reviews the subjective experiences of research acupuncturists and suggests the need for a specialized training program to address their concerns and improve the design and execution of acupuncture studies.

PIs show poor calibration for primary outcome, recruitment, and timelines, but have modest discrimination in predicting positive trial outcomes.

Adaptive trials allow modifications in study design to improve efficacy evaluation, while pragmatic trials provide a more comprehensive assessment of intervention effectiveness in clinical practice.
