Summary: The study designed a colorimetric-fluorescent dual-mode sensing probe for ultrasensitive determination of nitrite. By adjusting the amino site, the probe achieved desirable sensitivity with detection limits of 98 nM and 629 nM in fluorescent and colorimetric modes, respectively. The probe showed outstanding specificity and was integrated into a portable sensor for real-time analysis of nitrite in various samples.

Summary: A specific nanoprobe was developed by functionalizing the luminescent MOF of NH2-MIL-101 with PVDF/PVP for detecting nitrite based on the diazotization reaction. The probe exhibited enhanced stability and higher fluorescence intensity, and the reaction of nitrite with the probe resulted in a significant fluorescence signal. With the addition of N-(1-Naphthyl) ethylenediamine, the color of the diazonium salt changed from colorless to purple-red. The sensor showed high sensitivity, selectivity, and good linearity, with a detection limit of 0.67 μM.

Summary: A colorimetric method for nitrite detection in food has been developed by combining nanozyme catalysis and diazotization, allowing for accurate detection of nitrite with high sensitivity and excellent anti-interference capability. This approach offers a lower detection limit and better performance compared to conventional single-signal analysis, demonstrating practical applications in food analysis.

Summary: Palladium cation embedded cellulose acetate/poly(vinyl butyral) composite superfine fibers were prepared by electrospinning. The embedded Pd2+ cations were reduced to Pd0 nanoparticles and uniformly dispersed inside the fibers. The resulting fibrous palladium catalyst exhibited high catalytic activity and recyclability in the Suzuki reaction.

Summary: A novel process for the preparation of 2-substituted cyclobutanones is reported, relying on a cross-coupling reaction and subsequent dephosphorylation. The course of the dephosphorylation reaction is observed to depend on the substituent properties on the cyclobutene nucleus. The method has been extended to the preparation of cyclobutenyl sulfides.

Summary: Low-cost nitrogen and boron-doped carbon nanodots (CPAP-CDs) with high quantum yield were synthesized through a facile hydrothermal treatment. These CPAP-CDs showed wide absorption, strong fluorescence, and pH-dependent behavior, making them suitable for detecting nitrite ions. The method had a low detection limit, wide linear detection range, and was successfully applied to different water samples testing.

Summary: A novel and efficient cellulose-based Pd@Cell-EDTA catalyst was easily prepared through the esterification of cellulose with ethylenediaminetetraacetic dianhydride and subsequent coordination with PdCl2. The Pd@Cell-EDTA catalyst showed excellent activity in Suzuki reactions and Sonogashira reactions, and it could be reused multiple times without significant loss of catalytic performance.

Summary: In this paper, a group of copper-based ternary deep eutectic solvents (Cu-DESs) were synthesized and applied in Glaser-type homo- and cross-coupling of terminal alkynes. These reactions occurred under exogenous-ligand-free, base-free, and additive-free conditions, providing satisfactory to excellent yields (up to 99%) under mild conditions. The Cu-DESs can be recycled eight times, with water being the only by-product, complying fully with the principles of green chemistry.

Summary: A novel Pd(II)-polymeric pre-catalyst was successfully prepared and demonstrated good activity in the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction. The catalyst showed recyclability and its performance was affected by the concentration of the cross-coupling partners. The presence of oxygen was found to be crucial in preventing the formation of inactive Pd(0) aggregates.
