Summary: The study aimed to visualize intracellular messenger RNA using cationized gelatin-molecular beacon complexes. The complexes showed sequence specificity against target oligonucleotides and increased cytotoxicity with higher cationization extent and concentration of cationized gelatin. Complexes prepared with the highest cationization extent and a mixing ratio of 10 and 20 pmole MB/mu g cationized gelatin exhibited high fluorescent intensity and no cytotoxicity, effectively visualizing both endogenous and exogenous mRNA in living cells.

Summary: The study shows that NOS2 is involved in regulating adipogenic differentiation in rat MSCs through the overactivation of the STAT3 signaling pathway. This leads to the promotion of adipocyte formation while having no significant effect on osteogenic differentiation.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of genetically modified bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) overexpressing PRL-1 in a bile duct ligation (BDL)-injured cholestatic rat model. The results showed that BM-MSCsPRL-1 generated by nonviral gene delivery system improved antioxidant capacity, mitochondrial dynamics, and mitochondrial anaerobic metabolism, thus restoring hepatic function and exerting antifibrotic effects.

Summary: Gene therapy has great potential in treating neurodegenerative diseases with complex pathologies. In this study, lesion-recognizing nanoparticles were constructed for the synergistic treatment of Alzheimer's disease. These nanoparticles can cross the nasal mucosa and migrate to the affected brain areas, reducing inflammation and achieving targeted drug release. The lesion-recognizing nanoparticles have shown significant therapeutic effects in the experiments.

Summary: The study showed that berberine hydrochloride (BBR) can modulate the imbalance between osteogenesis and adipogenesis mediated by Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from oral pathogenic bacteria, potentially reversing the effects of LPS on gene expression and demonstrating the involvement of AMP-activated protein kinase.

Summary: This study found that crude oil vapor (COV) reduces the proliferation and differentiation of fetal mesenchymal stem cells (fMSCs) through the activation of PI3K and ERK1/2 signaling pathways. Quercetin (QT) treatment increases the proliferation and differentiation of fMSCs in COV-exposed rats.

Summary: This study investigated the role of circRNAs in the osteogenic differentiation of rBMSCs. The results showed that circRNA_1809 may act as a sponge for miR-370-3p and regulate the osteogenic differentiation of rBMSCs by targeting Kitlg. The findings laid a theoretical foundation for further understanding the mechanism of circRNAs in regulating osteogenic differentiation of rBMSCs.
